Korth ====================================================================== PETE PETERSEN Funeral services for Pete Petersen, 85, of McLean were held on Wednesday, January 12, at the United Methodist Church at McLean. Burial was made in the Magnet Cemetery. Mr. Petersen passed away Saturday evening, January 8 at the Osmond hospital. He had been in failing health the past year. The sons of Hans and Karen Petersen, he was born September 12, 1886 at Lichingie, Denmark. He came to the United States in 1903. On January 24, 1910 he married Sena Paulsen at Wayne. She passed away in January 1919. He spent his entire life in the McLean and Magnet vicinity where he farmed until 1950 when he became Pierce County Commissioner a office he held 16 years. He later retired, living in McLean. He was baptized and confirmed in the Danish Lutheran Church in Denmark. Mr. Petersen was a member of the IOOF Lodge. Survivors include one son Harry (Bud) Petersen of Osmond; one daughter, Mrs. Jack (Helen) Lienemann of Randolph; one brother, Nels Peterson of Monticello, Ky.; two grandsons; six great grandchildren and nieces and nephews of Denmark. In addition to his wife, his parents and one sister in Denmark preceded him in death.
