Peters, 81, a lifelong resident of Cedar county, died at Sacred Heart hospital in Yankton Tuesday morning. He had been confined in the hospital several weeks and had been seriously ill for six months. Funeral services for Mr. Peters will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church here tomorrow (Friday) morning at 9:30 0’clock. Rev. E.J. Hunkeler will officiate at the requiem mass and burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Peters is survived by his wife, Regina, eight sons, Ed, Hugo and Louis of Wynot, harry of Great Falls, Mont., Rudolph of Grand Island, and Theodore, Clark and Alfred of Lebannon, Ore., five daughters Oliva of Spokane, Wash., Amanda and Josephine of Elk Point, SD., Rita of Sioux City, and Viola of Wynot, and one brother, Frank Peters of Hartington. Mr. Peters was born at St. Helena October 4, 1872. He was married at Bow Valley June 13, 1899. Mr. Peters farmed for 31 years, and the past 24 years had lived in wynot.
