Korth ====================================================================== CLINTON PETERSON Services for Clinton “Pete” Peterson, 79, Norfolk will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Westridge United Methodist Church with burial in the Magnet Cemetery. He died Monday July 30, 2007 at the St. Joseph’s Rehabilitation Center in Norfolk, NE. Clinton “Pete” Peterson was born August 7, 1927 at McLean the son of Elmer and Minnie (Johnson) Peterson. He married Leonore Faye Long on June 15, 1947 at the Swedish Covenant Mission Church in Wausa. The couple farmed for several years outside of Magnet and then McLean and finally bought a farm south of Pierce in 1964, where they farmed until moving to Norfolk in 1985. Clint was an active member of the Westridge Methodist Church in Norfolk, serving on the Board of Trustees and also served as handyman in many capacities. He enjoyed playing cards and he and his wife Lee, belonged to two card clubs for many years. His love was repairing and fixing almost anything that was broken and known for many years as the fix-it man for many. He and Lee played a huge part in the founding and upkeep of Norfolk Opportunity Center for the disabled. Clint had a special passion for tractors and Farmall Model H was his favorite. He is survived by his wife Lee of 60 years; five daughters, Peggy Braden of Niobrara, Carolyn Grisom of West Hills, Calif.; Bette Bilau of Omaha, Deborah Peterson of Norfolk and Shelia Reed of Pierce; one sister, Doris Hanson of Vista Calif.; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Minnie Peterson, brother Warren and sister Clarence Hansen and Geneva Johnson.
