Petronella, daughter of Mrs. Agatha Uhing, were held at the chapel of the O.S.B. convent at Yankton last Tuesday morning, Rev. Ferdiand Schuettgen officiating. Interment was made in the private burial place belonging to the sisters near the Sacred Heart Hospital. Sister Petronella who was 56 years old at the time of her death had been suffering from paralytic strokes for some time when she finally passed away in St. Mary’s hospital at Pierre. She was born October 24, 1871, at Westpoint and the age of 8 moved to Cedar county with her parents where she remained until her entrance in the convent at the age of 16. For 33 years she worked with the Sioux Indians at Fort Yates and at the time of her death was stationed at Pierre, SD. Besides her aged mother, Sister Petronella is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Mary Suing, Mrs. Theresa Wibelhaus, and Mrs. Ida Kleinschidt, and four brothers Fred, Louis, Henry and Herman Uhing of near Hartington.
