Permission granted by Rob Dump, Editor, Cedar County News ====================================================================== Cedar County News 10/22/1915 Popular St. Helena Lady Passes Away Mrs. Joseph Schrempp passed away at her home about two miles south of St. Helena last Friday morning, after a lingering illness at the age of 56. Mrs. Schrempp was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Peters, who were among the earliest settlers at St. Helena and pioneers of Cedar county. She was married to Joseph Schrempp who with her aged mother and nine children survive to mourn her loss. The children are Fred, Bwin Buttes, Canada, Mrs. John Schneider, Cottonwood, Idaho, Mrs. John Strum, St. Helena, and Otto, Raymond, Edmond, Celia, Lucy and Kunda at home. Also by two brothers, Frank and John Peters of near St. Helena and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Walker of Crofton, and Mrs. Leo Schrempp of Fordyce. The funeral service which was very largely attended, was held Monday morning, from the Catholic Church at St. Helena, Rev. Father Stratman officiating. Interment was made in the St. Helena Cemetery.
