Korth ====================================================================== PAUL SLAGLE Paul, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Slagle of Magnet, died in the Wayne hospital August 16, at the age of 37 years, 11 months and 5 days. He had been ill for about two months and during that time underwent an operation. Paul was born in Otoe County, Nebraska, May 11, 1897, coming to Magnet as a youth he had lived in Cedar County for 20 years. He was married to Miss Elsie Birkett of Ft. Dodge, Iowa on July 28, 1931. To this union two sons were born, who with Mrs. Slagle survive the husband and father. Deceased also leaves his parents, four sisters and two brothers; Mrs. Lloyd Fauver of Wausa, Mrs. Ralph Forrest of Yoder, Wyo.; Mrs. Lon Forrest of Scottsbluff, Hazel of Magnet; Arthur of West Point and Silas of Carroll. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Dunning at the Christian Church in Magnet on Sunday and burial made in the Magnet Cemetery.
