Korth ====================================================================== OPAL SUTTON Funeral services for Mrs. Frank (Opal) Sutton, 81, of Hartington were held on Tuesday, March 11 at the First Congregational church in Hartington with the Rev. Paul Bennett officiating. Opal I., daughter of Peter and Belle Manzer Lackas was born June 3, 1904 at Pierce. She was graduated from the Randolph Public School in 1921 and attended Wayne Normal College. She taught 26 years in Cedar County schools. She married Frank F. Sutton on May 29, 1929 at Yankton, SD. The couple farmed north of Randolph until 1943 when they moved to a farm west of Hartington. They moved to an acreage at Hartington in 1955. She passed away on Saturday March 8 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton. Survivors include her husband Frank; two sons, David of Concord, CA and Dan of Shelton; two daughters, Mary Belle Pfeil of Elkhorn and Opal Kay Berg of Omaha; 12 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and a sister, Alda Dawson of Nebraska City. She was preceded in death by her parents.
