Korth ====================================================================== IVAN SWANSON Funeral services were held on Tuesday, August 31, at the Magnet Methodist Church for Ivan W. Swanson, 36 who died August 25, at Denver. Ivan William Swanson son of the late Otto Swanson and Mrs. Irene Stober was born at Magnet April 4, 1912. He graduated from Magnet High School in 1926 attended Norfolk Junior College and Wayne State Teachers College. He served at Ft. Cook and Ft. Jay New York before going into civil service work at Washington, D.C. in 1938. He was married to Nellie Graczyk at Washington, D.C. December 26, 1942. He served in the Marine Corps during the war with the rank of Technical Sergeant. He was transferred to Denver after leaving the service. He had been in failing health for two years. Surviving are his wife; son Ivan Jr.; mother and stepfather Mr. and Mrs. Roy Stober of Magnet and a sister Helen of Magnet.
