Korth ====================================================================== BERLA TILTON Services for Berla Tilton, 63, of Magnet were held on Monday, December 7 at the United Methodist Church in Magnet. Burial was made in the Magnet Cemetery. Berla, daughter of Fred and Katie Mayberry Magdefrau, was born June 14, 1924 at Niobrara. She married Ellis Tilton on December 1, 1945 at Yankton, SD. The couple farmed near Niobrara seven years and moved to Magnet in 1958, where she assisted her husband in a service station business. She died Friday December 4 at her home. Mrs. Tilton was a member of the United Methodist Church and its Women’s Society. She had taught Sunday school and was Sunday School Superintendent for several years. Survivors include her husband Ellis; one son Dennis of Norfolk; three daughters, Mrs. Darrell (LaVonne) Olson of Gayville, SD., Mrs. Joseph (Dian) Bergman of Glen Flora, WI and Mrs. Roger (Clarice) Becker of Fordyce; her mother, Katie Leuenhagen of Bloomfield, 12 grandchildren, one brother, Don Magdefrau of Corvallis, OR; four sisters, Mrs. Dean (Erlene) Custer of Niobrara, Mrs. Opal Whitney of Bloomfield, Mrs. Harry (Ina Mae) Tichy of West Point and Mrs. Tony (Lois) Netherda of Wayne. She was preceded in death by her father, stepfather and one sister.
