Korth ====================================================================== ELLIS TILTON Services for Ellis Tilton, 72, of Magnet were held Monday at the Magnet Methodist Church. Burial was made in the Magnet Cemetery. Mr. Tilton died on Thursday, February 15, 1996 in Randolph. He was born September 27, 1923 in Bloomfield to Harry and Clara (Stagg) Tilton. He graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1942. He married Berla Magdefrau on December 1, 1945. He farmed until 1952. He owned and operated Tilton Oil Co. in Magnet. He served on the town board for 26 years and was on the school board for nine years. His wife died in 1987. He then married Arlene (Backer) Graham on November 3, 1991. Survivors include his wife; a son and spouse, Dennis and Karen of Magnet; daughters and their spouses; LaVonne and Darrell Olson of Gayville, SD; Dian and Joe Bergman of Centuria, WI, and Clarice and Roger Becker of Fordyce; three stepsons and their wives, Wayne and Dorothy Graham of Coleridge, Dallas and Rebecca Graham of Belden and Howard and Sandy Graham of Littleton, CO; 11 grandchildren, nine step grandchildren and two sisters, Marjorie Novacek of Winnetoon and Maxine Thierolf of Magnet. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and his first wife.
