Korth ====================================================================== LOWELL TILTON Funeral services were conducted in the Magnet Methodist church Saturday for Lowell M. Tilton, 27, who was killed December 19 in a truck accident near Madison, SD. Lowell Merlin Tilton was born October 7, 1929. He grew up in the Lindy community and attended Lindy and Niobrara schools. He was baptized in the Victory Union Church. In 1949, he moved with his family to Newcastle and two years later joined the navy. After a four-year enlistment much of which was served at sea, he returned to Magnet to live. On October 11, 1955 he was married to Miss Joan Peterson of Wausa. After their marriage, they made their home in Texas. Recently, they and their young son moved to Norfolk, where Mr. Tilton was a driver for a grain exchange firm. Survivors are his wife; a small son Tommy; parents Mr. and Mrs. Harry Tilton of Magnet; two sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Navacek of Madison and Mrs. Maxine Thierolf of Magnet; one brother Ellis of Magnet.
