Alvin Clark White was born June 19, 1928 on a farm near Randolph to Clark and Mattie (Smedley) White. During his childhood, Al was raised in the Randolph and McLean area. In 1946 he graduated from Magnet High School. In 1947 he married Twilla Beaudette. He worked at various jobs and farmed in the McLean, Magnet and Wausa area. In 1966 Al and Twilla bought a farm 1 ½ miles east of Wausa where they raised a registered dairy herd. Due to failing health in 1977, they sold the dairy farm, from there they moved to Wausa. During their 43 years together they raised two children, Jimmie and Connie. Together they also enjoyed visiting and playing cards with friends and relatives. We all know how Alvin loved visiting with people. In the last few years crafting has been their business and hobby with Alvin doing all the woodworking. Alvin was an active member in the Magnet Christian Church and that was one of his favorite places to be. He was also a member of the Wausa Masonic Lodge 215 A.F. and A.M. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Frank and one sister Hazel White. Mr. White is survived by his wife; son and daughter-in-law Jim and Carol White of Yuma, CO; daughter and son-in-law, Rick and Connie Eckert of Hadar; six grandchildren; one great grandson; one sister, Mrs. Merle (Mary Lou) Oxley, San Marcos, Texas and mother-in-law, Gladys Beaudette.
