ELDORA WHITNEY

Eldora Collins was born on July 5, 1866 in Iowa. She was married to Oren 
D. Whitney in 1884. The family moved to Nebraska around 1890 and settled 
on a farm in Eastern precinct in Pierce County. 

Eight children were born to this union, seven of them, four boys and three 
girls. Eldora passed away on September 20, 1908 at the age of 42 years, 2 
months and 14 days. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband of twenty-
four years, Orin, her children; Maude, Claude, Clarence, Earl, Blanche and 
Lela and also a host of friends. Her Burial was made at the Magnet Cemetery.
