He married Frances Eby 25 Jan 1922 She died Nov. 1, 1981. Mr. Wilkerson graduated from Coleridge High School in 1917 and attended the University of NE. He served in the army during WWI. He was former president and sale manager of the Northeast NE Hereford Association for 25 years. In 1985 he was honored by the Northeast Hereford Association for contributions to the industry. He was a director of the Old Reliable Hereford Association at Grand Island. He was a member and held leadership positions in Coleridge American Legion Post 114, Masonic Relief Lodge 219 and Order of Eastern Star. Dist 41 school board, Cedar County Extension, Cedar County fair board and served on the state extension council. He was a committeeman for the Farmers Home Administration, and a leader of the Coleridge 4-H Livestock Club. Also a member of the Pilgrim Congregational Church and Superintendent of the Sunday school. Survivors include daughters, Mrs. John (Shirley) Weihing of Gering,NE and Mrs. Ray (Fern) Medlin Jr of Albion, NE, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister Bernice, brothers, Alfred and Ira.
