Korth ====================================================================== EMMA WOOLSTON Quietly slipping into eternal rest the soul of Mrs. Emma B. Woolston, the oldest citizen of Magnet, passed to its Maker and Lord on Saturday at the respected old age of 71, years, 7 months and 11 days. Although her health had been failing somewhat during the past summer there was no cause for anxiety on the part of her family. About a month ago she was stricken with a light stroke from which she recovered sufficiently to be up and about, it was scarcely a week before her death when she became confined to her bed, death gently releasing her from earthly pain and suffering at 4:30 Saturday afternoon. The deceased was the widow of the late I.O. Woolston, the first cashier of the Magnet State Bank being elected for the position on January 7, 1902. The funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon from the residence at 2:00 and at the M.E. Church at 2:30. The large crowd of friends who attended the service and the profusion of beautiful floral offerings that filled the front of the church gave mute evidence of the respect by which the deceased was held in the community. The remains were laid to rest in the local cemetery beside the remains of her husband. Emma Baily Woolston, daughter of James and Amelia Bailey was born January 17, 1855 in Lexington, Ohio and passed away on August 28, 1926 at her home. She came west to Marshalltown, Iowa with her parents in 1862. She married I.O. Woolston on August 10, 1876. Three Children came into this home. One son Fred B. passed away March 10, 1915. Two daughters, Mrs. E.E. Snygg and Millie Vera both survive her.
