Korth ====================================================================== CHRIS YOUNG Chris Young, resident of the Magnet community for 32 years, succumbed Monday at his home in Magnet after an extended illness. He had been in critical condition for several weeks. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Magnet and the burial will be at Magnet. Mr. young was a member of a family well known in that community for many years. His widow is the former Mary Macklin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Macklin of Randolph. Christopher S. Young was born October 27, 1903 in Bourbon County Kansas and came with his parents to Magnet 32 years ago. He was married November 14, 1941 at Pierce to Mary Macklin and they farmed until failing health forced his retirement last fall. Surviving are his wife; two sons Gary and Larry Gene; daughter, Villa Mae; brother, Clarence of Chambers; four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Beaudette and Mrs. Albert Clausen of Norfolk, Mrs. Hugo Milander of Coleridge, Mrs. Walter Hoppe of Magnet. His parents, three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
