Permission granted by: Rob Dump, Editor, Cedar County News ====================================================================== Cedar County News July 6, 1916 Loses finger in Mower Youngster Near Beaver Creek Has Accident The two year old baby of a family named Murkle, lost the third finger of the left hand and suffered a severe cut on the other fingers Tuesday while playing together with other children with a lawn mower. The children were pulling the mower and the blades did not revolve. One of them started to push it while the baby had hold and the blade cut off the finger and lacerated the others before it could be stopped. The baby was rushed in an auto to a physician who dressed the injury.
