Anderson and daughter, Velva, and Mrs. Martha Mun... were callers at the home of Christina Anderson of Monday afternoon. Mrs. Albert Lane and daugther, Merilyn, and Mrs. Andrew Backman called at the R.A. Anderson home. Mrs. Albert Lane and daughter Merilyn, of Cash, S.D., who have been visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Backman, went to hartington on Wednesday to visit with her husband's relatives. A number of folks from Maskell and vicinity attended the Cedar County Fair last week. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Benson and children returned Sunday evening from a trip to Minnesota. While there they visited at the home of Rev. and Mrs. O.C. Harang of ??lview, Minn. Miss Wilma Bottolfson spent a few days recently visitng at the ?.A. Anderson home. Mr. and Mrs. R.A. Anderson and children and Mrs. Johannah Bottolfson called at the Otto Bottolfson home Friday evening. Mrs. Edna Brewster accompanied her sister, Mrs. W.E. Miller of Wynot, to Ponca Saturday to see her sister, Miss Myrtle Tee, who was quite ill. Mrs. B.M. Dulaney, who is a patient at the Methodist hospital in Sioux City, is getting along as well as could be expected. Her daughter, Kathryn, spent Saturday in Maskell. She has been staying in the city so as to be with her mother. Mr. and Mrs. H.K. Johnson and children and Arthur Hendricks were dinner guests at the Ed whitsett home on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Olof Lund and children spent Sunday at the Orville Birkley home. Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Palmer and baby and August Peterson drove down from Mitchell, S.D. and Mr. and Mrs. Irving Addison and son of Daily spent Sunday at the T.H. Anderson home. Mr. Peterson remained for a few days' longer visit. He is Mrs. Anderson's father. Mr. Peterson resides at Long Beach, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Evans and children of Pender spent several days at the Martingson home at Maskell. The H. & S. Co., rented the south part of the O.P. Lund store building and moved in Monday. They are getting the store arranged and will be ready to wait on customers Friday or sooner. G.F. Engstrand a nd M. Lurie are in charge. At present the proprietors and their folks are occupying apartments in the O.P. Lund residence. Village Board to Visit Wayne Mr. and Mrs. M.G. Wyant, Mr. and Mrs. O.N. Lukken and children, Mr. and Mrs. R.A. Anderson and children, Jakob Nielsen, M.P. Lund and Cornelius Colbenson drove to Wayne Sunday. The men were busy looking after things of interest to our village. The women and children visited the state teachers college. Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Lukken were former students at the college.
