Seeing a car drive into his yard, Tucker went out to meet the supposed visitors and was met by two men wearing masks who covered him by a shotgun and told him to "stick-em up and tell us where you keep that fruit jar with your money in it." Thinking they were friends playing a joke on him, he started to joke with them when one of the men hit him over the head with a billy knocking him to the ground. They went through all of his pockets with the exception of one and that one had his pocket book in it but it was empty. Finding nothing they searched the house with the same result. Returning to the yard, they helped Tucker who was still on the ground to his feet, backed the car out and drove away. It is presumed that the men were after Tucker's old age assistance money which was due that day but owing to the fact that he did not go to the post office he did not have it in the house. He suffered no bad affects from the blow on the head. county Sheriff W.P. Bisenius is investigating.
