CEDAR COUNTY NEWS DECEMBER 14, 1939

NIELSENS OBSERVE 25TH ANNIVERSARY

Obert - Mr. and Mrs. Nels C. Nielsen, who farm near Obert, celebrated 
their silver wedding anniversary, Friday, December 8th.  A dinner was 
served in the evening at their farm home with all their children 
attending.

Later that evening the family was called to Obert where a group of 
relatives and friends gathered to help celebrate the occasion.  A 
short program was presented to honor the couple. Mr. Nielsen has been 
deacon of the Baptist Church for the past several years.

The Nielsens have operated the same farm south of Obert since they 
were married.
