JAMES RECENTLY Wynot- An old landmark was moved out of St. James last week when Fred Wiebelhaus moved the dwelling house which he recently purchased from Olaf Swan. This house was built in the early days of St. James by John Barton, one of the early residents who farmed south of St. James, and upon retiring from the farm built the house where he and his wife lived for many years. The home was later owned and occupied by the P.W. Schmidt family, the A.H. Thompson family and came into the possession of Olaf Swan some years ago. Mr. Wiebelhaus moved the house to his land near the river east of Homewood Park and will occupy it. Another building recently moved in the same location was a building bought from A.W. Jones by Maurice Keiter, a son-in-law of Mr. Wiebelhaus. This building also has somewhat of a history as it was the mouse-proof floor house belonging to the Jones Mill.
