One son , John. Jr., of Laurel was unable to be present. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lammers and family and Mr. and Mrs. Donovan Lammers of Fordyce, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hochstein and Marilyn of Randolph, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Hochstein of Coleridge, Mr. and Mrs. B.J. Abbott of Hartington, Mr. and Mrs. Don Hoss and family of LeMars, IA., Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Huennkens, Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Hochstein and Randy, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wieseler and Bobbie, Mr. and Mrs. Roman Pinkelman and family, Miss Elaine Burbach and Don Hochstein. The visitors brought lunch which they and Mrs. Hochstein served after an evening of cards and visiting. Mr. Hochstein is a lifelong resident of this community. He was born on his father's farm northwest of here and has watched the progress of the country for three quarters of a century. He and Mrs. Hochstein have lived on their farm a short distance from here since they were married more than 50 years ago.
