Miss Strenzke has something of a record for continous residence in this community having been a resident here for 76 years. Owing to failing health no special observance of the day was planned but the honored lady received many cards of greeting and congratulations. Miss Strenzke came to Cedar County in 1876 from her birth place in Prairie du Chien, Wisc., From a large family Miss Strenzke, the oldest and Mrs. Klopping, the youngest are the only remaining members of the pioneer family.
