POWEL CANYON DISTRICT 134
This school district was formed in 1886. For the first
four years it was held in a sod building. then a frame structure was built on land donated by Mrs. Anna Hill on section 12. Twp.17 R.20. The school was moved a short distance a few years later where it remained as long as it was in session. The firs teacher was Miss Clara Collins. There are no student records for the early years.
