Elias Anderson emigrated from Skudeneshavn, Norway in 1870. He was a brother of my great grandfather, and I have several letters that he wrote to my great grandfather in the period 1901 to 1925. The last letter from him, which I have, is dated Sept. 10th 1925, from Fremont, Nebraska. In this city, he had a business called "E.Anderson Company - Furniture, carpets, rugs". I am very interested in what happened to Elias Anderson after the time when he wrote the letters, and also whether he have some descendants. Best regards, Per Larsen Syre N-4280 Skudeneshavn, Norway. e-mail: perlar@online.no

I am researching CAMERONs and BRITTENDALLs. My grandfather was Robert Alonzo CAMERON. He and his mother Mary Ann Hudson CAMERON are buried in Fremont. My great-grandfather (Robert's father), Thomas Wesley Cameron, also lived there, but died in Illinois. Robert's wife was Alice BRITTENDALL Cameron. She and Robert were married in Fremont and her family (Her father's name was Isaac Warden BRITTENDALL) probably also lived there. They all lived there circa 1870's-1910.     I would appreciate any possible information on these families. Thanks.

I am researching the Hoover family. I have a letter written in 1881 from James Hoover, living in Fremont, Nebraska to his
mother in Illinois. James was 22 years old at the time. He was born in Illinois. In the letter, he implies there may have been other family members living there also. The others could have been John Hoover and George Hoover. John was born abt. 1855 in Pennsylvania and George was born abt. 1857 in Pennsylvania. I notice, in 1890-91 list of farmers in the area, there was a Ben M. Hoover living in Fremont and a G. Hoover living in North Bend, Nebraska. These two may have a connection to James Hoover. By 1900 I find many of this Hoover line living in Lincoln County, Nebraska, including the mother, Susan. I wonder what could have brought the family to Fremont, Nebraska? In 1881 was there land in Fremont to be homesteaded? I have been able to find the whereabouts of James and Ben, but don't have any family information on John Hoover or George Hoover.  I would like to find descendents of this Hoover family, so we can share information. Any help you could give me concerning  this family would be appreciated.
