I am seeking information on a JAMES FRIEND of Hadar, Nebraska.  He was born in 1859 in Illinois.  I'm not sure when he moved to Nebraska, I have an old photo of him and his wife taken at Traulsen Photo Studio, Hooper, Neb.  Photo looks like it was taken somewhere around the turn of the century. He paossibly was married in Neb. as photo looks like a wedding photo.  James was the son of Micahel and Susan (Wilson) Friend of Illinois.  Can you provide any info on James and his family?

I am searching for information about my grandfather, Alvin Martin Lang, who was born in Fremont, NE in 1898. Alvin had two brothers, Gilbert and Stanley, plus an adopted sister named Elizabeth. I am not sure if his parents Martin Lang, and Else Kirsten Olsen were married in Dodge County, the only record I have is a baptismal record written in Danish.Martin Lang was a surveyor who remarried after Else died, and moved to Lynch, Nebraska. He married Edith Ivie, whose father was a doctor on the Rosebud Indian Reservation.

My Mom was Patricia (Feichtinger) Hancock, daughter of Dr. Lawrence C.  Feichtinger & Hannah C. Boyle (they are buried in North Bend).....my Mom's grandparents were Patrick Boyle & Maryanne (Mealey), also buried in North Bend. Mom's grandparents Charles & Mary (Imsicke) Feichtinger, i found out through your web site, are buried at St. Mary's Cemetery in Dodge Co., which i didnt know & we dont remember visiting.
Mom was born in Snyder, Nebr in 1926. She was the youngest of 3 girls, Roberta & Helen were her sisters. My Grandma (Hannah Feichtinger) had been a teacher in a one room school house in Webster Nebr. My Grandpa was a Veterinarian. They attended (St. Leo's) --i believe was the church in Snyder. I know they lived later in Grand Island for awhile, then my grandparents moved to Schuyler. This is what i remember! My Grandpa had an office there for the animals & we children loved to go visit! I do remember seeing an article once that someone had copied, that said something about my great-grandpa
Charles Feichtinger held some type of elected office.

I am in need of a lookup for a lonesome family member who was from North Carolina but moved to Fremont during the late 1880s, I believe, the result of her husband's work with the Fremont, Elkhorn & Mo. Valley R.R. Co. Mary D. (nee Harris) LIVINGSTON (wife of John Livingston) died 5 Feb 1919, and is buried in Fremont - though I am not sure which cemetery.
Mary and John lived *in* Fremont (they ran a boarding house, I think)...and so I expect Mary is buried in either a public city cemetery or a church cemetery there in Fremont.
We have no dates for her birth, and are hoping this might be included on her  stone. After her death, we think John remarried and moved  to Omaha, where he is suppoed to be buried. Many thanks for any help you can offer,

William J. Strube  Thu, 19 Aug 1999 11:45
I'm interested in finding out more about my ancestors who lived in Dodge County, NE in the late 1800's and early 1900's.  My grandfather was August F. Strube who lived in Scribner, NE.  The 1870 Dodge Co. Census Index lists an August Struba (note the spelling difference), age 37.  There is a son August listed as 3 years old.  Since my grandfather was born in 1866 I feel there is some chance this data may refer to his family. How do I go about getting further information from that census data?

I am looking for George W. Norris, born Hancock Co, OH (bef 1837?) who was said to be living in Saunders Co., NE in 1896. This from bio of his brother Noah Anthony Wayne NORRIS, my ggf, in an 1896 Fulton Co., IN publication. For full text of the bio, see http://members.tripod.com/~debmurray/fulton/fulbioref-11.htm#nnorris
Could there be descendants or other data in Dodge County? This George, brother Noah, sister Nancy (wife of A.J. (Andrew?) Anderson in Denton, TX, were children of John Norris and Sarah Clark according to the bio. Another source, LDS file not roven, shows John married to a Sarah Ward and dying Denton, TX 1891. Same file shows George, as one of 9 children, born bef 1834 - no other info. This is NOT the NE US Senator George W. Norris, who was born later.
Thanks, Dave Norris  Colonial Heights, VA
