I am looking for someone who would be willing to take a few pictures for me at the St. Wenceslaus Cemetery located on the Cuming/Dodge Co. line. Also need some taken at the St. John Nepomuncene Cemetery in Howell, Cuming Co. Nebraska. I think they are close together but not sure. If you can help me please let me know. I will pay you for the pictures.
I am searching for members of the Karel Dvorak 1836-1909 and Barbara Tresnak 1842-1925 family from the Dodge and Colfax Co. area in Nebraska. They had 5 kids that I know of Joseph b.1864, Anna b.1866, Karel II b.1873, Anton b.1875, and Albert b.1883. I know Joseph and Karel came to Missouri. Joseph stayed but Karel II went back to Nebraska. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have been researching my great grandfather and great grandmother, George W. Roberts/Phoebe Jane (Thompson) Roberts.  They were married in 1887.  I've been finding information about them in both Saunders and Dodge
counties.  They, Phoebe and their 3 kids, lived with her brother David in Morse Bluffs, Saunders Co, NE in 1900.  George was not with them.  In 1920, my great grandmother and great aunt, Alta, were found in Oakland, IA.  By 1920, my great aunt, Virginia Mildred (Roberts) Acker lived in Fremont, Dodge Co, NE.  She and her husband, Frank E. Acker, raised their 7 children in Fremont.  In 1920, my grandfather and grandmother, John Harold Roberts and Bessie Loretta (Bowman) Roberts, had just been married and were living in Oakland, IA.

George, my great grandfather, was a very elusive person.  The word that I have is that he went wherever he could find work.  He and Phoebe lived with Frank and Virgie for a time.  But most of the time, they were close to Alta.   The only known information that I have about him is that he died Feb 3, 1909 and is buried by my great grandmother in Sunrise Cemetary in Wahoo, NE.   He didn't die in NE because no death certificate was issued.  I have no birthplace.  In the 1900 Census, he is shown to have been born in Ohio.  In 1920, he was supposedly born in Iowa.  On both Phoebe's and Alta's death certificates, his birthplace is listed as unknown.  I am stuck on G W Roberts, my great grandfather.

I mailed a letter to the Saunders County Geneology Society requesting any information (hopefully an obit or something) on George and Phoebe Roberts.  That's been 6 weeks ago and nothing yet.  I sent an e-mail to the Ashland library requesting any information on them as well about a week ago.  No response.

I have information on Phoebe's family (Thompson) back to West Virginia in 1710. I have information on the Acker lineage back to NY and back to Germany.

I am researching my family history (geneology) and any information regarding these ancestors:

Adelhart Leo William Sass Born 1/4/1901 in Dodge, Nebraska
Mother's maiden name=Luedke (or Leubke) Died 3/30/1982 in Shasta, California
His father:August C. Sass (or Safs) born Nebraska (Dodge) 1/26/1874 Died 5/1/1971

August's father:Johann Earnest Karl Safs (Sass)
married Sophia Catharina Helene Kroger on 7/21/1865 in Wittenfoerden, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany
Birth and Death dates unknown, parents names unknown.

Would you have information on where I can find more information, in particular, the verification of the spelling of Sass (Safs) and birth, death, and parents names for Johann Sass? I was a Sass until my marriage. Johann would be my gg-grandfather.

I have birth certificate, baptism, church correspondence, death certificates, marriage certificates, military records and obituaries with the following surnames on them for my family members.  Surnames with an * are unknown as to the relationship to my father, Richard G. Hackstock b.1919 in Fremont, Dodge, NE or other Hackstock family members.  In some cases the *name is someone who performed a marriage ceremony or signed a birth or death certificate. We are currently trying to link all names listed on all documents relating to our family in hopes that it will assist others in researching their family.

Lianne Holten Muhl  Sun, 20 May 2001 00:04
I'm looking for information about my father's family.  I have the following information about them:

Name                                        DOB         Place of           Died         Place of
                                                                   Birth                                 Death
Herbert Christian Holten     7-20-1914   Fremont, NE   5-7-1966    Houston, TX
    (my father)
Hans Peter Ulrik Holten                                                                    Houston, TX
Anne (Anna? Ana?) Mortensen (Holten)                        Abt 1920    Fremont, NE

I am most anxious to find information about my grandmother, Anne, and her family.  I have tried to find a record of her burial, but have not been successful.  My father has passed away, and my mother is quite elderly.  All she can tell me is that they visited the cemetery, which she described as being in the "country" outside of Fremont.  Of course, I'm not sure if that
is "country" any more.

I realize that this is like looking for a needle in a haystack, but I have to try.  My grandparents divorced when my dad was around 3 yrs. old and his mother died from pneumonia when he was around 6 or 7 yrs. old (I think!) So, she probably died between 1919 and 1921.  Her sister was Marie C. Anderson, 23 Jan 1885 - 27 Apr 1959, buried in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Thank you.
