I am not sure on the date, but I think it is an early photo as there are no trees to be seen. Right of center in the photo you can see a cloud of dust as the cattle are being moved into the pens. The view is looking east so the hotel would be to the right of the tracks and the hotel is not shown. The buildings on the left side are south of the railroad tracks. More than likely they are loading the cattle to be sent to the Omaha plants. At the end of the train there would have been a caboose known as a drover car for the cattle owner and ranch hands to ride in while transporting the cattle.
