Looking for information on James Smalley and family who lived in Turtle Creek Precinct, Holt County, Nebraska from approximately 1885 or a few years before to 1889. I also would appreciate info on Turtle Creek Precinct and a town called Doty, Nebraska.

HYNES, WELCH posted by Nancy on Monday, February 19, 2001: John (no known dates) and Mary J.(WELCH)HYNES (born 1857 at Greeley, Delaware County, Iowa--died of consumption 11/14/1888 at O'Neill, Nebraska--buried 3/14/1889 at Manchester, Delaware County, Iowa) had 3 children: Winnefred HYNES, born approximately 1881; William HYNES, born aprox. 1884; and Joseph HYNES, born approx. 1886. The children were in Manchester,Iowa in 1895 according to the grandmother's list of heirs. I am just beginning to research this line and would welcome any information. I have information to share on Mary's WELCH siblings, but not much on this family or her husband's family. We wonder if John's siblings/parents were in the O'Neill area, and if he worked on the railroad while there approx. 1885-1894, if the family returned there later, if John remarried since Mary died at 30 years of age and the children were approx. 7, 5, and 3 years old at the time of her death. Any information would be appreciated.
