Laura married to FRANK SCHOBER of Holt County, had one known child IDA SCHOBER married to to Otto Smith and one other marriage to unknown. Ida and Otto had a daughter MARCELLA VIOLA or MARIA SMITH who married a WILCOX. Need info on on the Downeys, Schobers and Smiths. Thanks, Amy in Iowa.

LAMB, MALLORY, PIERSON posted by Julia Cooper on Thursday, May 3, 2001: I am looking for descendants of Charles M. and Lydia Malissa (Lamb) Pierson. Charles & Lydia was living in Coleman Twn., Holt County, NE in 1920. Their 8 youngest children were living with them ages ranging from 20 to 5 years of age. All of the children had been born in Kansas.

DOBNEY posted by Heidi Troge on Friday, June 15, 2001: I am looking for information on the DOBNEY family from Stuart, Holt County, Nebraska. My great-grandfather, Glen William DOBNEY, was born in Stuart on April 3, 1900 to Richard and Rocella (HOWARD) DOBNEY. Richard and Rocella's other children: Ralph (1904-1972), Hazel, and Martin (1908-1909). Martin is buried in the Catholic side of the Stuart Cemetery, near Mary E. and Ellen Dobney. Mary E. (1892-1909) is identified on a double headstone as d/o F. & Ellen Dobney. Ellen, on the same double headstone, (1851-1909) is identifed as wife of F. Dobney. I am looking for a clarification of the relationship between Ellen Dobney and Martin Dobney -- I suspect she is his grandmother. Any information about this family would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Several children born in Stuart, Nebraska. John, Jr who was born and died in Stuart; Mary; Emma born March 29, 1892; Frederick Joseph born May 19, 1895 and Katheryn born Jan. 31, 1899. Grace had a sister Stella Downey and somewhere along the line an Ida White was listed. I am searching for the connection. I believe that my father-in-law was born in 1916.

HOLMAN, KETTERL posted by John Ketterl on Tuesday, August 7, 2001: My father's family lived in Sutart Nebraska beginning in 1906 through most of the 1940's. I am looking for any information about this family. The patriach was John Ketterl but the first Ketterl that came to Stuart was Josef Ketterl, my grandfather. He had 4 children (one died at birth). Any information would be helpful.
