Looking for descendants of JOHN SWEET, b.12/12/1864, St. Neot, Cornwall, England to William & Jane (nee KEAST) SWEET. Sweets Emigrated to Sioux City Iowa,1888 directly from Cornwall. Not known when this branch moved to Nebraska, but at least one son, Percy, died in 1948 in Holt Co., Neb. John is brother of my Great G'fthr Stephen Keast Sweet.
John and Mabel had: Percy Brown; William Arthur; Clarence Lyle; Herbert John; Linford Leigh; Mildred Irene; and two others who supposedly died in infancy.

Looking for Chaney family - lived around Atkinson, NE Looking for family of Nora Chaney Brown, children were Cecil Brown; Doris Brown (Mrs. Austin Hynes) of O'Neil, Ne; and Delia Brown Green. Doris & Austin had 2 sons, David & John, and 4 daughters. In the 1960's her teenage grandson was named Marty.

1900 Federal census shows the family of James and CAtherine LaRue in McClure Twp., Holt Co., NE. James was said to have died at Chambers in 1908.
I am interested in any information about the descendants of James (1829-1908) and his wife Catherine (1836-1916), thru his children Ida May (married CARSON), Minnie Rebecca, William Hamilton married Clara B., Leonard Samuel married Nellie F., Robert married Gertrude SMITH, Margaret Irene (Hattie), Eva Pearl, Rose, Lillie married Bruce Newland/Nuelon and Virginia H.

Trying to find Charles Sinnett and Laverna Blore. Their son Ernest Charles Sinnett born in Stuart in 1888. Laverna's grandparents were John Radcliffe and Lucinda McKenzie ( or McKinsey) who homesteaded in Stuart area in ca. 1850. Does anyone recognize the names and/or have a connection?

Seeking information on the following Hicks and Weeks families. They came to O'Neill about 1880 and were in the area until at least 1920. There were several related Weeks families that lived there as well. A brother to Charity, probably James was a banker in O'Neill. EZEKIEL PALMER HICKS was born February 20, 1842 in Eastcott Farm, Northlew, Devon, England, and died September 03, 1915 in O'Neill, Holt County, Ne. He married CHARITY S WEEKS 1863, daughter of JAMES WEEKS and CHARITY PALMER. She was born January 08, 1846 in Devon, England, and died January 26, 1904 in O'Neill, Holt, Ne.

My great-grandparents, John Theodore Rohde and Bridget(t) Haaf, were supposed to have been married in O'Neill, Holt County, NE on October 25, 1886. The Rohde family lived in or near O'Neill for many years. I am trying to trace when these families came to Nebraska. Thanks so much for your help! Judy Eastman.
