My paternal grandmother was raised in Holt Co., Atkinson, to be specific. Apparently her family came to NE via Canada from Germany. I have yet to find any information about where in Germany they came from and if there are any relatives still living in Holt Co. My grandmother's name was Alma Harley Knutzen. Thank you!

Looking for maternal father of CARREN JUNE FERRIS a.k.a CORINE JUNE FERRIS b. 24Feb1944 in York, NE. Carren/Corine was given up for adoption on 29 Nov 1948 and records of it are sealed by NE State. Maternal mother is believed to be Margaret Ferris. Margaret is daughter of George & Anna Shoemaker. Margaret died 15 Aug 1992 in St. Edward, NE and is buried in O'Neill cemetery. Margaret was b. 22 Jan 1912 but place of birth is unknown; St. Edward newspaper lists Merriman NE, but State Dept of Correctional Srvs. lists either Reading PA or Creighton NE. Margaret married Robert Peter Ferris on 2 Dec 1933 in Antelope Cnty. Both Margaret and Robert listed O'Neill as residences at marriage time. Robert is NOT believed to be the father, but rather a "Colonel Tom". I have lots to share. Any help appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

I am looking for the burial location and obit if possible for Orasmus Borden. I believe he died in Ewing, Holt County in the early 1900's. I am not certain on the date. He fought in the Civil War with the 42nd Pennsylvania Infantry (Bucktails). If any other information is available I would be interested in hearing about it. Thank you
