Obituaries
NEW (Sep/Nov 2007)
Images of obits provided by Central City Library
September 2007 Collection can be assumed to be incomplete, obits have been scanned from assorted newspapers (microfilm at CC Library) and for a variety of dates. Image collection came with a partial index, names have been added. (A few names found in the original index did not correspond to any image found. Those names were left in place.) October 2007 Indexes - obits grouped by years, and then alphabetical by surname within that set. The library sent corrections ... these are included. If additions are made in the future, the index pages may require division ... in which case this list will change, and the urls will be modified. In case you need to figure out the death date for a person that "died last Sunday", try this perpetual calendar. July 2008 More obits received from Central City Library and integrated into the following files. |

Lists - Name with death date, & GI Independent obit publication dateOur thanks to Dona Hawk for tackling this indexing project.
December 1998 - January 1999 - February 1999
Note: We haven't heard from Dona Hawk for some time, and her email bounces. Hope she is well, ... would like to hear from her. She felt that even if a gravestone extract file was available for each cemetery, it would soon be obsolete unless obit extracts were provided. So ... we're trying to copy down obits from GI Independent and do the extracting ... as time is available.
