Lot 209 - East 1/2 - 1895-1979 - William J. MCDERMOTT, born at St. Francis Kans. Came with parents 1906 to Eastwood dist. where he lived on the original place most of life until he retired to Broadwater where he lived until his death. Died as results of an auto accident. Children - Dan, Anna, Bill Jr.
Lot 209 - East 1/2 - 1899-1974 - Sarah Ethel MCDERMOTT, wife of William J. McDermott. Born at Mercer, Missouri. Came to western Nebr. 1916 where she lived until she died. Married 54 yrs.

Lot 210 - 1939-1977 - Ronald E. Nelson. Born at Broadwater and spent entire life here. Husband of Donna Nelson. Died from an accident on farm. Children - Janelle, Kellee, Alexis son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Nelson.

Lot 216 - 1849-1929 - Francis MCMANIS. Came to Morrill Co. 1906, (then Cheyenne Co.) and homesteaded Northeast of Broadwater. Moved to Broad water 1919 where he was engaged in garage business a short time before retiring. His wife Viola was a sister of Wesley Snider. Children -Lester, Frank, Zoma.

Lot 215 - 1860-1937 - Charles H. SKELLENGER. Born in New York State. Came to Morrill Co. 1909 and homesteaded Northeast of Broadwater, where he lived the rest of his life. Farmed and raised cattle. Children -Lester, Hazel and Victor.
Lot 215 - 1868-1941 - Elizabeth S. SKELLENGER, born in Iowa, wife of Charles Skellenger, sister of Ambrose Wiggins. Married 51 yrs.

Lot 229 - 1868-1942 - Wesley S. SNIDER, born in Indiana. Came to Sidney 1906 and to Morrill Co. 1907 where he homesteaded North of Broadwater and still owned the place when he died. His son, Jesse Snider, first casualty of World War I at Broadwater 1918. He helped build Broadwater and went horseback selling Bibles. Sold 10 to one family. His stone was brought over from Denver Mountains by son Charlie. Children - Buelah, Fern, Charlie, Floyd and Estelle.
Lot 229 - 1901-1972 - Estelle SNIDER, son of Wesley SNIDER.

Lot 230 - 1863-1945 - Byron E. WILKINSON. Born in Ill. Came to Broadwater 1910 by covered wagon and homesteaded south of Broadwater. Faced many hardships, house burned to ground 1913 and he rebuilt. Lived on homestead until 1929 when moved one mile south of river. 1942 retired to Broadwater, where he died. Children - Fern and Armin.
Lot 230 - 1866-1954 - Alice Jane WILKINSON, born in Ohio, wife of Byron Wilkinson. Sister of Sam Sawyers. Married 55 yrs.

Lot 231 - 1891-1974 - Guy James CHORN, husband of Carrie CHORN, born at Fairbury, Nebr. Came to Broadwater 1920 and purchased a farm west of town. 1929 sold that farm and bought south of town where he farmed until 1965, when he retired to Scottsbluff where he died. Raised and sold registered Poland China hogs in the 1920's. Children - Gladys, Harvey.

Lot 237 - West 1/2 - 1869-1955 - Walter John PENNEY. Came to Broadwater 1924 from Oberlin, Kansas. Farmed. Children - Glen, Byron, Lila, Lola, and Dor an.
Lot 237 - West 1/2 - 1897-1969 - Glen L. PENNEY. World War I veteran. Born in Kans. Came to Broadwater 1926. Farmer. Father of Clarice and he and his wife also raised his younger brother Doran after his mother died when he was three yrs. old.
Lot 237 - West 1/2 - 1900-1951 - Dorothy E. PENNEY, wife of Glen PENNEY. Born in Kansas, where she grew up and taught school.

Lot 237 - East 1/2 -1919-1951 - Kenneth A. MUNSEY. World War II veteran. Husband of Annabelle MUNSEY. Born at Broadwater and lived entire life here. Killed on highway between Broadwater and Bridgeport, when struck by a car while working on his car. Was on way to hospital with wife the day before Christmas. Father of Frances, Carol, Wayne, Jerry.

Lot 236 - 1887-1951 - Allen HIBLER, World War II veteran. Born at Ashland Nebr. Came to Morrill County 1928. Farmed and ranched. Father of Jeanne.
