EMMA LOUISA IRVING, NEE DOLPH

MRS. EMMA LOUISA IRVING, NEE DOLPH Saturday morning our town people were shocked to hear of the death of Mrs. Frank Irving, who for the past three months has been making her home here. Mrs. Emma Louisa Irving, nee Dolph, was born in Spring Brook township Pa., September 18, 1855, and was married to Frank Irving, March 23, 1875. About seven years ago the family moved to Nebraska, and settled at Irving, which place was named after them, Mr. Irving being the first post master, and Mrs. Irving frequently assisting him in carrying the mail twenty-one miles to Cleman. Mrs. Irving had a long time been suffering from heart trouble and that she might be near the doctor, and also give her youngest daughter Laura, an opportunity to attend school is why she has been living in Bridgeport. The Funeral, which was very largely attended was held on Monday from the Presbyterian church, the service being conducted by Rev. Elmor Zimmerman, who took his tex from John XI-25. "I am the resurrection and the life." The pall bearers were Mark Spanogle, Clarence Mount, Elbert Scott, James Gaines, Jno. Clawges and R. H. Willis. Click Here to view image of the obituary.
