Chancey Perry NICHOLS (1825-1912) & Harriet (HAZLETON) NICHOLS (? - 1902) had the following children:
Augusta N. (?-1923), Ella L. (?-1940), Alpha Dell (?-1936), & Clark Hazelton (1861-1946)

Clark H. NICHOLS (born 4-7-1861, MI) was married 18 Sep 1890 at Belgrade, Nance, NE to
Mary APPLEGIT (born 4-27-1870, IL) daughter of Elias & Elizabeth APPLEGIT who both died in Nance County, NE before 1900.)
The young couple moved to Michigan for a short time and their first child was born there. They returned to Nance County, where 9 more children were born. Their children were:

Clark & Mary NICHOLS also raised a nephew, Glee JOHNSON (b 1916) who later lived in Yakima, WA.
Clark H. Nichols died 11-11-1946. Mary died in 1950; she was survived by 2 brothers, Tom of Seattle, WA & Marjon of Los Angeles, CA

Lucy M. NICHOLS married in 1929 to Preston BISHOP (b 1897, Nance Co, NE)
Preston was the son of Miles & Mary Jane (Bumgardner) BISHOP
Their children were as follows -

son of Frederik Ferdinand Christensen and Louisa Dorothea Rasmussen Christensen.
Married Frances HALL, b. May 17, 1915, d. January 26, 1993.
They lived in Genoa, Nance, NE
Both Howard and Frances are buried in the Tekamah Cemetery in Tekamah, Burt County, Nebraska.
Howard and Frances had one son, Fred CHRISTENSEN.

George F. Cook (1819-1888) b.NY, son of Jonathan and Rebecca (Farrington) Cook,

Emma (Emalene) Cook married James Shaw b. Feb 1850 in NY in about 1881 and had a daughter,

Samuel Gorby, b. Febr 4, 1837, Meigs Co, OH, d. Febr 16, 1895, Nance Co, NE
married Mary E. Edmundson, b. abt 1841, OH, d. 1915, Nance Co, NE

Samuel Pierce Gorby served in the Civil War for the entire four years. He enlisted with the 18th Ohio Reg., served 3 months, then re-enlisted in Co. I, 53d Ohio Reg. He and two brothers - John S. and Benjamin Franklin - served throughout the war in this company. Mustered out Dec. 24, 1864, at Savannah, Ga. His children had a sword given him by his company when he was 1st Lieut.

The 1890 UPRR Gazetteer of the State of Nebraska, Glenwood, NE Business listings include "Gorby S P, blacksmith". Glenwood, a postoffice in the southwestern part of Nance county, 18 miles from Fullerton, the county seat.

Five children were born:

Charles Jonathan Hunt born 28 Jul 1825 NY, mar 1 Aug 1850 NY to Margaret Sophronia Barner. She born 12 Feb 1832 NY. Charles died 6 Apr 1895 Cottonwood Twp. buried Glenwood Cemetery. She died 19 Feb 1903 Tama, IA buried Glenwood Cemetery. They came to Cottonwood Twp., Nance Co. from Benton Co., IA to be with children during epidemic. Children: Mary Ann King, John Daniel, William Silas, Omenzo Grandville, Amos Coy, Margaret McMillin.

Mary Ann Hunt b 3 Feb 1855 Garrison, Benton, IA mar 20 Oct 1872 Phillip M. King. She died 21 Feb 1919, bur Glenwood Cemetery
