Belgrade, a post-office and station on the Cedar Rapids branch of the U. P. Ry. in the northwestern part of Nance county, about nine miles north of Fullerton, the county seat. Population, 100.

"Early History of Belgrade, NE"

The book, "The History of Belgrade" has been completed and published by Ruthie Imus and Alberta McBride.

Included in the book is "A Brief History of a Live Business Town", written by O. M. Mayfield in 1902; an article on the Pawnee Indians of Nance County, written by Frank McIntyre; "Timber Creek in the Early Eighties" written by George W. Ellsworth; along with many interesting news articles taken from the Belgrade Hearld, and written by Edith Vesey. Included are several photos of early homes and businesses in Belgrade, information and early history of the schools, cemeteries and churches; a listing of all the graduates from Belgrade High School and over 120 family histories, maps and even some surprises!

The history time period covered is from the days of the Indians to the present.
