  Mary Rose Morse - b July 1880. Picture was taken in Columbus, Nebraska about 1900. The family moved to Washington in 1902. She married Robert Osborne on April 1, 1913 in Chelan County, Washington and was still living in Wenatchee in the 1920 census. Whereabouts unknown after that time. • Thomas Kush Thomas Kush (b 1851 in Leki Dolne, Reseznow, Galicia, Poland; m Kathryn Barnas on 26 Feb 1884 in Platte Co, NE) This is the only one I'm certain of. Thomas is on the right, this would be Michael Kush's 1843, brother. I believe the one on the left to be Louis Kush (b 15 Sep 1884, NE, m Dorothy Benark, both of Geona, Platte Co, NE. They later moved to Omaha, Douglas Co, NE). This is my grandfather, Michael's son. The middle one I believe is Michael Kush (b 25 Sep 1843, Leki Dolne, Resznow, Galicia, Poland, m Kathryzna Pawlak/Pawlicki?). Their home was just east of Krakow, across the river. Last plat is the 1912, Michael died 24 Jul 1912; Kathryn died 1917, Boone Co, NE at daughter's house. - submitted by Debi Waterman (dw54624@alltel.net)

• Craun Family - Front row: John Henry Craun III and wife Sarah (nee Switzer). John Henry married Sarah after his first wife, Sarah's sister Mary, died. Mary is the mother of the children. Back row, l-r: Charles, Mary, Sid Smith (a foster child), Martha, John William Christian. Picture taken about 1911, Wadena, Minnesota. This Craun family lived at Columbus, Nebraska, from 1883 to about 1910.

• Four Men/Civil War Era - Gary Swanson would like help identifying the men in this photo collage. The man to the extreme right is Elias Harrington FUNK.

• Eagle Scouts - Taken circa 1932. Left to right: Walt Garbers, son of Henry W & Augusta Garbers; Vic Gutzwiller, grandson of E F. Schober; Dr. C. Vaughn Campbell, local dentist (and possibly assistant scoutmaster); and unknown.

• Photo on 11th Street - photo probably taken after 1914. Woman on right is Emma (Schober) Gutzwiller. One of the men is Otto Merz (possibly on the right). Other man may be Will Moersen, barber.

• Frederick Henry Gerrard was born in 1848 in Rock Island, Illinois. He came to Platte County, Nebraska with his family in 1857 and lived there most of the rest of his life (he also spent some time in York, Fillmore, and Howard counties) until his death in 1922. He is buried at the Columbus Cemetery. His parents were Joseph Gerrard and Adeline (Allen), and he is brother to Leander and Edward Allen Gerrard, well-known citizens of early Columbus. The Gerrard family founded the town of Monroe.

      That is the best my memory can do on the photos maybe some other person will see and help ID the children. We moved from Columbus when I was in 1st grade. When we moved back I had been set back one grade due to illness. So my third grade class was a new set of children from those I started with. Then during 4th grade I and some others were moved to the Emerson School due to over crowding.
