CHRISTENSEN, MADS - is, I believe, my father's father's name. They lived near Ceresco, where my father Louis was born in 1904. He had a brother named Chris and a sister named Volborg (later Hanson). There were other siblings, including a brother that drowned. Louis was the youngest. Chris was in Saunders county in the '70s and Volborg was in Lincoln until then also. I was born in Norfolk, NE in 1947 and my mother was Yvonne Peterson from Gretna, NE. My parents met at Linoma Beach!

He had a sister named Carrie (not sure of full name or correct spelling). His parents were from Prague, in the Czech Republic. The family's original Czech name was Belovich and it was americanized to Beloyed.

1. CARL FREDRIK NILSSON, born April 25, 1870. Emigrated in 1885 with Wahoo, NE as destination. Not heard from.
2. FILIP LEONARD NILSSON, born December 11, 1871. Emigrated in 1889 with Wahoo, NE as destination. He stayed in touch with his parents and visited Sweden several times. He settled in Petaluma, where he died in the early 1950s. He had no children of his own.
3. ERIK HARALD NILSSON, born April 10, 1880. Emigrated in1898 with Wahoo as destination. He also wrote letters home. He settled in Omaha, NE, where he married Beatrice Christ. They had a son, born in March 1913(?). They still lived in Omaha 1925.
If somebody has any information regarding them, I would be very appreciative to hear from you. I would also appreciate help in where to turn to find them. They do not appear in any of the federal censuses. Was there any Nebraska or Saunders County census late last or early this century? Any help will be appreciated.

My GG-grandparents were John C Owen & Lydia Fox,who came to & settled in Saunders county,Nebraska in the late 1800s. They had these children: Albert R., Thomas E., Edward J., Levi, Frank, Rosa, Emma, Ellen Josephine, Alzira & Sara. I would like to find birth/death dates, places & children's info if possible. My Ggrandmother Ellen married Herman Harrison of Yutan, Nebraska. John Owen came from Wales. Lydia Fox was b.13 June 1825 in Sandusky,Ohio. John & Lydia were married on 11 June,1842 in Freeport,Illinois. I wonder if there are any Fox relatives that moved to Nebraska with the Owen family. Would like to find out Lydia's family . John C Owen was a land owner who sold land to the railroad which Memphis, Nebraska was built on.
