Franz (Frank) Novacek was born in Moravia 1851? He came to USA in 1879 with then wife Petronila (Janda) Novacek. They had a son James J. Novacek in Morse Bluff or (Cedar Bluff area). Petronila had a sister who married a Vyhlidal. Franz died in 1880s and Petronila eventually married Antonin Chaloupka. Petronila and daughter by previous marriage, Mary Novacek, said James J. Novacek and Antonin Chaloupka settled in Plattsmouth, Ne. Need info on death and burial place of Franz Novacek if in Saunders Co. and particulars of birth of James J. Novacek and where Antonin Chaloupka came from. His parents reportedly were Joe and Anna Chaloupka.

What is the origin of the name of Saunders County? Many of my family left England for the USA and I would be interested to know if the County was named after a specific member of the Saunders family.

Seeking information on the Anders Lindgren family.
Anders (Andrew) Lindgren and Charlotte came from Sweden, stayed briefly in the Knoxville, IL area, where son Charles A. Lindgren was born, and then moved to the Wahoo,Saunders Co., NE area. They also seem to have lived in the Colon, NE area for a while. They had children, Gustaf, Caroline, Hulda, Annie, Charles A., Jennie, and possibly a Frank and Carl Lindgren. Charles lived in the area, farming near Sutherland and Colon. He married Wilhelmina Skogland, who was born in Linde, Sweden and worked as a maid for a rich family in Omaha before marrying Charles. The family later moved to Gregory Co., SD, where an uncle, Ed Lindgren, had previously settled.
There is a close Anderson connection - apparently this branch of the Lindgren family took the wife's maiden name at some time. Also, a Carl Anderson married two of the daughters of this family, Caroline, then Hulda. Children of Caroline were Edwin and Edith Anderson, Children of Hulda were Lillian, Emphrey, Clarence, Wilbur, and Laverne.
Other family members: Gustaf Lindgren married Angelina Hoaglund, Annie Lindgren married Simon Nordquist (Annie appears to be buried in the Frontier Cemetery near Sutherland), Jennie married Swan Goran.
Any information would be appreciated.

I am completely unfamiliar with the genealogical resources available in Sauners county. I am hoping that someone might instruct me in what resources would be available.
I am searching for the death date and/or burial location of:
James S. Reed
In the 1885 Nebraska State Census, Cedar, Saunders county, Nebraska (page 9B), James S. Reed age 6?, born NJ; Elenor age 59, born NJ.
His wife, Eleanor, died on 8 Mar 1887 and is buried in the Critten-Barrett Cemetery, Saunders County. James is not buried with her.
James remarried on 10 Mar 1888 to Mary Maria Harmon Sampson, widow of William R. Sampson, who died 8 Jan 1883 in Fremont, NE.
Mary appears as a widow in the 1900 census (1st Ward-Omaha, NE) living with one of her relatives.
So, James would have died between 1888 - 1900.
Can anyone recommend how I might find out when he died and where he is buried?
Thank you very much in advance. Harry.

Looking for any records of Issac H davis & wife tilly and children. I believe they may have married in valparaiso bet 1882-86. Her name was tilly or Matilda Jungstrand (but it is said her name was americanized to Johnson - spelling unknown). She was born in Sweden. Isaac is listed in 1890 as I.H. davis - barber. The children born in valparaiso were Henry Allen (abt 1886) - Emma (abt 1888) and Eunice (abt 1895-6). They moved to South Dakota sometime before July 1897.
