MORRIS, ROTH, ROTHE posted by Linda L Middleton on Saturday, August 7, 2004: ROTH or ROTHE: My great grandmother, Etta Roth Howe, born in Saunders CO. Nebraska in a sod hut somewhere near Wahoo about 1880 gave all geneology information to her relatives in Wyoming in the 1970's. They may be related to her step-father John MORRIS (I think was his name.) Etta Roth's Grandparents were Germans living in the Indian Territory which may be Iowa now. I would like information about the ROTH or ROTHE linage.

CAMERON, SMITH posted by Leslie Smith on Friday, August 27, 2004: Letitia Cameron of Wahoo. Married Charles Smith in 1879. Her father could have possibly been Bill Cameron. They had several children - Guy, Howard, Alta, Nettie, Mable. Charles also had three brothers Frank, Alva and Otis. One sister Mrs J. H. Ellison of Marietta precinct.

I would like to know (1)if naturalization papers are available at courthouse (2) address of Edenberg Cemetary (he is not in tombstone list) in case he is buried without marker (3) if there was a obituary in 1879 in what paper would it be? GRANSTROM, OLSON posted by Anders Eriksson on Sunday, September 12, 2004: Looking for information about Oscar Olson b 8 may 1871 in Sweden lived in Ashland in 1910-1930 m. to Augusta children Ellen Olson Granstrom and Grant Olson. Also looking for information about his brother George Olsson b. 1866 in Sweden, lived in Cass Co. and had at least two sons Otto Olson and Paul Olson who lived in Ashland in 1930. Have ancestrial information to share.

HOOKER, KENNEDY, MCGUIRE posted by John Kennedy on Tuesday, September 14, 2004: Searching for information concerning my g-grandfather and g-grandmother, James, (Jim) and Maude Mae (McGuire) KENNEDY. James was born 1885 in Saunders County, NE. Maude was born 1888 in Nebraska.
My search is basically 1. What happened to James KENNEDY, as he vanished around 1920 or perhaps before. Maude was re-married in 1930 to a Guy HOOKER with James and Maudes son (Wesley) as stepson.
Any information to continue this search would be very much appreciated. Thanks so much, John Kennedy

HORACEK, SOUCEK, SRAVA posted by Winnie Koukol on Thursday, September 23, 2004: I am looking for information on Frank Soucek. I believe he was b. in Austria in December 1840. In 1910 he was in Morse Bluff Twsp. Saunders County with second wife, Mary, b. December 1851, who he married c. 1897. He had 8 children but I don't think any by Mary. I think his first wife was Annie Horacek whom he married in IL 8 June 1873. She died between 1891 abd 1896. One of their children was Anna b. 1877 in Chicago. He also had Stella b. August 1886 and William b. June 1891 both of these children were born in Nebraska. Anna married Anton August Stava on 26 April 1898 in Chicago. I think some Souceks and Stavas ended their lives in Marathon County, WI. c 1920.
