The Sioux County Courthouse is located in the middle of Harrison Nebraska.

In the building you will find the County Clerk's office.  There you will find the register of the marriages for Sioux County dating back to the beginning of the county in 1884. There is a .50 per page copy fee and if you want certified copies of documents, the charge is $5.00 plus copy fees and postage.  There is also a platte map locating the various grave sites in the county.  No index is yet available.

For Birth, and Death records you should contact the state Vital Records Department.
 
 

The Sioux County Library is located upstairs in the Courthouse.  The Building is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday except on major national holidays.

The Sioux County Museum
Open from Memorial Day to Labor Day and is located in the heart of Harrison.  They have a fine collection of records from the beginning of the county including, birth, death, obituaries, photos, etc.

Sioux County Churches
Including Nativity Catholic, Harrison Lutheran, Harrison Methodist, and the Harrison Bible Church.  We hope to be able to obtain some of their membership records for searching in the near future. Newspapers
The Harrison Sun was absorbed by the Crawford Clipper some years ago.  The Crawford Clipper is located at 435 2nd Street, Crawford, NE 69339.
