The purpose of these pages is to promote the historical heritage of the
state of Nebraska and its people, as it applies to Webster County in
southcentral Nebraska; to assist individuals interested in genealogy in
tracing their ancestors; and, to foster good research methods and
documentation.
Hello, and Welcome! This is a companion page to the Webster County,
NEGenWeb Project site. In no way are they intended to compete with
each other. The material on both sites is primarily different, where
NEGWP is genealogically oriented and ALHN is more historically oriented.
There are some links connecting both.
Both projects, The NEGenWeb Project and The American Local History
Network, are made up of volunteers who seek to furnish genealogy
and history on the World Wide Web, free of all fees. All who volunteer
their time and/or material shall be respectfully and gratefully
recognized for their efforts.
I have many very close friends who are volunteers for USGenNet.org,
usgenweb.org, XXGenWeb, xxAHGP, and xxALHN Projects. To them I send
hearty greetings and thank you's for what they do to foster fee free
information that helps visitors learn and adds to their research. As
you enjoy your visits to the various sites be sure to take a moment
