Sharon Bramhall - bramhall@earthlink.net - (December 29, 1998)
IN ONLY 30 MINUTES I was able to find my cousin's great-grandmother's (Sarah Reeder Canfield-Rhodes-Snider-Porter) gravesite in Custer County! It gave me great pleasure to be able to provide that information to him. His widowed great-grandmother came with her children from WV, married & was widowed again several times. One of her children rode with Poncho Villa. My compliments to your researchers and coordinators for presenting a comprehensive & user-friendly site. Sharon Bramhall, North Olmsted, Ohio.

John Peters - JCPetersRN@aol.com - (December 28, 1998)
Just discovered your site. I am starting to research my father's family, I only know he was born in Grand Island on 2 Jun 1903. Your state does not go that far back. I am looking for another source of birth/death records for my ancestors in NE. I will probably be back when I know more. Thank you for being on line.
- Jacqueline Widick-Hall - TAZTINKY@aol.com - (December 26, 1998)
I would like to say THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! for supplying much needed information. My maiden name is Widick and have had a tough time trying to find my roots. Most webs don't carry this last name. Keep up the good work.

Paul Durant - PGDURANT@aol.com - (December 22, 1998)
Hello, Don`t know if this is the way to sign the guess book or not, but, here goes. My name is Paul Durant. I live in New Hampshire. My brother lives in Omaha. As you see I have reason to visit your part of the world. Also, I have recently learned that my ancestors may have come from Douglas county.
- - RoseQBE@aol.com - (December 6, 1998)
Thank you for having such a helpful genweb site. I have been searching blindly for ancestors, and I have found so many good tips within your website, that I have been able to expand my search to other states with your tips. I have recommended Nebraska GenWeb to friends who are also doing genealogy research.
- JAFREE - softly@gte.net - (December 6, 1998)
Thank you for all the excellent topics to "discover" on your web sites re Nebraska. I have ancestors from Gage, Johnson, and Thayer Counties, and my daughter-in-law has some from Burt County, and one of my close friends from Richardson County (and I hope more info is available soon from this last county). All the work you've put in is evident, and has served me and my family very well.
- Connie Giese - jandv@tvsonline.net - (December 3, 1998)
From Connie Giese - Fremont, Dodge County. Love the site!! Very disappointed in Dodge County's lack of information - we have many very incredibly interesting cemeteries in our wonderful county and only small one listed! I've got relatives and/or friends in many and am going to contact sextons, cemetery boards, etc to get more involvement. I was tracking roots in Iowa and was happy with their info so wanted to see how we're doing here. Not just football our state should be competitive in so I'm going to try to stir people up on this too! My 7 year old son is fascinated with dates and names on tombstones (figuring out ages at death helps with math skills too!), he keeps a little notebook of interesting names, oldest person he's found, etc.
- Lorraine Wakefield - wakers@bigpond.com.au - (December 3, 1998)
Hello. Just checked out NeGenWeb which incidentally is probably one of the first and most most promising sites that I found. First time I used it I found someone I suspected was my ggrandfather listed in the Farmers Directory and have since with Bill Weaver's help found this to be correct. - Lorraine in Australia
- Phyllis Zeleny - Vangoz@netscape.net - (November 22, 1998)
Hello, I wanted to tell you that I think Carolyn Wilkerson, county coordinator for Butler County is doing a fantastic job!!! She continues to update the site frequently and does a fine job. The graphics and music are great. She does a good job of responding to folks also. I don't know if awards are given for the genweb sites, but if they are, she deserves one!!
- Eileen Anderson - SLOMomma@aol.com - (November 19, 1998)
Browsing the Nebraska web, especially about Aurora and Hamilton County was like a trip down memory lane.....thank you.
- Kaye Abram - fairlane@magiclink.com - (November 16, 1998)
Hi! my name is Kaye Morrison Abram. I was born in Oakland, Nebr. to Roy B. and Alice Hansen Morrison. I was a triplet. We left Nebr. and came to Idaho in 1946. I still do have relatives in Nebr.around Omaha and Tekamah. I still have a Aunt Ella Ackerman living in Tekamah. I came back to Nebr. a few years ago for a reunion. It was great getting to know new cousins. I just started doing family research and would like to hear from all related to the Morrison's and Hampton's.So, this will be a challange on this work. This looks like a wonderful site. Thanks Kaye
- Phyllis Ann Merryman Cloyd - pcloyd@ibm.net - (November 13, 1998)
I was born in Lincoln, my mother was born in Clay Center, and my father was born in Kearney. I found your web site during a search for records of my ancestors. My great-grandfather was a Civil War veteran who homesteaded land near Kearney after the war. He was also very active in the GAR.
This is a very well designed site and I can see that your volunteers have worked very hard to enter data for on-line searches. My greatest wish would be for indexed census and marriage records on-line with all names indexed in one file with a link to the specific reference. I wish BIG, don't I? :>)
- Steve Palmer - Stevpalm@aol.com - (November 13, 1998)
I would like to acknowledge one of the county coordinators Catherine Renschler from Adams County. Catherine has been an invaluable help in my research on my family. Her responses have been precise and timely. Her research on my behalf has been a tremendous help. I would like to thank the NEGenWeb project and Catherine in particular.
- Steve Palmer Stevpalm@aol.com - (October 28, 1998)
Thanks for the information. I wish Adams County had more info. It seems to be lagging behind some of the other counties.
- Barbara Archer - bcarcher@earthlink.net - (November 4, 1998)
My name is Barbara Archer. I grew up in Lincoln and have just started doing research in my Nebraska ancestors, most of whom settled in Gage County. I have found that site and its volunteers extremely helpful and am looking forward to finding out more.
- Clarice - clarices@journey.com - (October 24, 1998)
What a great web site, wish we had more like them on the internet. I am searching for John Martin Dugger's first family somewhere in southern NE. Keep up the good work, is really appreciated.
- Jim Bailey - JWBailey@worldnet.att.net - (October 18, 1998)
Hi, Just spent some time looking your site over. Was impressed with the amount of info available. Found where I have to go to get birth/death info, and will follow up later. Am a native Lincolnite - but now live in Colorado Springs. I visit your web site again.
- Lee Austin - austin@dreamscp.com - (October 14, 1998)
Good work. I didn't find what I wanted, but maybe I didn't recognize it
when I went by.
- Kristi Planck Johnson - kokar80@erols.com - (October 2, 1998)
My roots are in Nebraska but I am always interesed in learning more and varifying information. My dad was born in Wausa, Nebraska in 1898 - Edmund L. Planck. He married my mother(Esther J. Hansen) in Omaha in 1930. They lived their entire married life in Omaha.
- Eddie Lynn Davis - davises@airmail.net - (October 2, 1998)
Enjoyed your site very much except I did not find anything in it about my ancestor. Thomas J. Allen the first territioral sheriff of Nebraska and who settled Omaha. There was no mention of him. Other than that I enjoyed looking thru the site.
- Kathie Harrison - Kpaw28@aol.com - (September 30, 1998)
Hope to see more family information for counties not added yet. Web site very helpful though and I visit it often.
- Carol - LS50993@swt.edu - (September 29, 1998)
Really like the lost and found section. Was trying to find information on where to write for birth/death records. May have overlooked it but could not find.
(look here: County Unknown Research Starters)
- Bill and Carolyn - rwdohe@pionet.net - (September 16, 1998)
Just browsing , looking up family from Princeton, Firth, Roca Nebraska. Great site wish we had more updates on some of the smaller cemetarys. Will try to copy all tombstones in the Princeton Cemetary when I visit. Thanks again.
- Jon Covey - jcovey@nebnet.net - (September 13, 1998)
Just a note to let you know that this is very interesting reading. Keep up the good work, and if you need any help with anything from Frontier County Nebraska, drop me a note.
- John Crouch - JCRocks44@aol.com - (September 5, 1998)
Hi! I'm John Crouch from Dayton, Ohio. I am researching my father's side of the family including the surnames of Rogge (of which I have a good bit of info) and Crouch (of which I have little). I recently purchased The Family Tree Maker, which got me started, and I found your site on AOL. Thanks for all you folks do. I'm sure you don't hear that nearly enough. Well, wish me luck! Thanks again!
- Mark Peebles in NY State - PEEBLESNY2@aol.com - (August 30, 1998)
I spent time today doing research on your site and thoroughly enjoyed it. More people and states should definitely follow your example. I am doing work on a major family tree and have searched at least 20 states and yours has been the most enjoyable and the most help. It was very easy to navigate and that really helps. Best of luck in the future.
- - mjmills@swbell.net - (August 27, 1998)
A grand site to find after spending fifteen years of digging through records and traveling hundreds of miles just to get nowhere because I couldn't hang around long enough to do a proper search. I am researching my mother's family in McCool Jct., York County and DeWitt, Saline or Gage County. The name of father and grandfather (hers) are Silas L. Morris and Dr. Frank S. Morris. I am hoping to find more information. I did meet a "cousin" and we are exchanging information. Thanks for all the work. When I get settled, I will offer to do some data input. Thank you again.
- Anita Galloway - tandnsmom@aol.com - (August 26, 1998)
My addiction is geneology, I live for names, dates & places.
- Don Ruzicka - DonLoralee@aol.com - (August 23, 1998)
Hi, Fritz suggested I write about my experience using NEGenWeb. I listed some surnames from my family who came from NE, and I just got an email from a cousin who shares a great-grandparent! She is very much into geneology, and it was exciting for both of us! To top it, she lives only 45 minutes from me in WA. We met the other day, and shared pictures, most of which the other didn't have. THANK YOU GENWEB VOLUNTEERS!
- Jim Brink, Aurora, CO - pbjaurco@aol.com - (August 15, 1998)
Greetings from Colorado: My great grandparents on my mother's side came from Nuckolls County, and I am trying to update my meager background on them. Many thanks for your help.

- Kjell Nordqvis - kjell.nordqvist@karlskoga.mail.telia.com - (July 21, 1998)
I like to look at Nebraska Genealogical homepages. They are all designed in an attractive way and give good info and instructions. I am doing research on the emigration from Karlskoga, Sweden, and am interested to hear how life developed for our emigrants in Nebraska and other states.
- David L. McMonigle - davemcmo@im4u.net - (July 18, 1998)
Nebraska counties have some of the finest internet resources among the various states. I have had tremendous success in researching in York County where many of my distant cousins have their roots. Everyone has been very helpful. Thanks for your excellent efforts.

Hello All you good ole CornHuskers. THIS IS NOT A QUERY!! I was born in Omaha Nebraska on May 8, 1923. I have lived In Wisconsin for 40 years and still miss my Native State. I have traveled through all parts of Nebraska many times in the last 70 years. I am searching for my ancestors and came upon this site while looking for The address for the Nebraska State Department of Vital records. Bill Wever coordinator for Burt County has been EXTREMELY helpful!! Wish all

- ROY E. BOWERS - rbowers@pcisys.net (Dec. 2, 1997)
The USGENWEB project is wonderful and having the Nebraska connection to aid in family research has been extremely helpful. The York, Co. coordinator has to be one of the most helpful people that I have ever encountered on the net. I am originally from Greeley and Hall, Counties. Now living in Colorado. Keep up the good work.

- From Dale V. Hostick, Jr. hostickd@bellsouth.net of Pensacola, FL; (Oct. 20, 1997)
Glad to see Nebraska geneologies on the web!
- Aprilnan@aol.com
Love this web site! Can't wait to see how it developes. I noticed that some
counties have cemetary sites (POLK) and others don't (DAWES). That is a
great service. I'd rather visit in person of course. Is there a way for native Nebraskan's
to e-mail other native Nebraskan's. Not necessarily a chat room, perhaps pen
pal e-mailers from Nebraska. Good luck in development and construction of
site. I am originally from Chadron, NE - now in Greeley, CO.
- Richard Buckelheide or Bockelheide - Dbuck@concentric.net (Sep. 16, 1997)
I enjoy looking for old family, keep up the good work.
