I am a Nebraska native now living in Montana. I have a new-found interest in geneology and have had pretty good luck getting back 4 or in some cases 5 generations. When I get things put together I will gladly share them with anyone looking for Nebraska. The major county entries will be Saline, Gage, Frontier, and wherever Axtell, Nebraska is. I have visited your site numerous times in my family research and have, each time come away marveling how well constructed it is and the volumn of data you have accumulated. Distant seekers, such as I, are very grateful. Thankz! Vern from Montana, now Iowa.

not really. your site seems to be very limited to a narrow block of years, or at least it seems that way - I'll be back

I have been delighted to find the book "Franciscans in Nebraska" on-line since many of the names mentioned in this 1931 book were priests from the Sacred Heart Province in Quincy Illinois/St. Louis Missouri and were men who served earlier in my little hometown of Wien, Missouri(http://www.geocities.com/wien2000us). Reading sections of the book especially from St. Bernard's parish were very familiar to me and I am so thankful to Sherri Brakenhoff, Ted and Carole Miller for posting it. Many thanks.

I try to visit this site on a regular basis as I have found many of my ancestor's here. Some I have have found on the census records, others through email. One of my favorite parts of this site, though, is the postings of obits and such that are being made available through the work of Lynn Chase. If you folks reading this have not looked through the lists of names and contacted her on the names you might be interested in, you should give it a try! Nominal fee for the copies and really fast service! I have been very pleased and highly recommend. Much thanks! Sue Snider

He! My father John Mervin Francis lived most of his life in Omaha Nebraska. Although I spoke to him by telephone several times I never met him. I am told he is interned in omaha. We were only notified about his death because I called his home and was told three weeks after the fact. I think he was at St. Josephs Hospital? I was about the late 1980. His family was supposedly of Irish and American Indian decent Thank You sincerly Pat Reardon
