Sgt. Lonnie Calvin Allen, Jr., age 26, Bellevue, May 18, 2006.

1st Lt. Garrison C. Avery, 23, Lincoln, Feb. 1, 2006.

Staff Sgt. Daniel A. Bader age 28 of Colorado Springs, Colorado (born in York, Nebraska) was killed November 2, 2003 when his CH-47 Chinook helicopter crashed in Fallujah, Iraq.  He was assigned to Air Defense Artillery Battery, 1st Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment.  Staff Sgt. Bader was buried at  Rose Hill Cemetery in Palmer, with military rites and honors.

Pvt. Noah L. Boye age 21 of Grand Island, Nebraska was killed April 13, 2004 from hostile fire in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.  Pvt. Boye was assigned to 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force.  

Army Capt. Joel Cahill, age 34, Papillion, Nov. 6, 2005.

Spc. Nathaniel A. Caldwell age 27 of Omaha, Nebraska was killed May 21, 2003 while responding to a civilian call when his vehicle rolled over in Baghdad, Iraq.  Spc. Caldwell was assigned to 404th Air Support Battalion, 4th Infantry Division.

Lance Cpl. Kyle W. Codner age 19 of Wood River, Nebraska was killed May 26, 2004 during hostile action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.  Lance Cpl. Codner was assigned to 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force.

Army Sgt. Wayne Cornell, age 26, of Holstein, March 19, 2007.

Sgt. Dennis A. Corral age 33 of Kearney, Nebraska was killed January 1, 2004 when his truck went out of control and flipped on its side while in a convoy traveling to Baghdad International Airport in Baghdad, Iraq. Sgt. Corral was assigned to 1st Engineer Battalion, 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division.

Airman Jason J. Doyle, age 19, Omaha, July 8, 2006.

Army Staff Sgt. Jason A. Fegler, age 24, Harrisburg, Nov. 4, 2005.

Sgt. Jeremy J. Fischer age 26 of Lincoln, Nebraska was killed July 11, 2004 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his convoy vehicle in Samarra, Iraq.  Sgt. Fischer was assigned to 267th Ordnance Company, Nebraska Army National Guard

Capt. Travis A. Ford age 30 of Ogallala, Nebraska was killed April 4, 2003 when his AH-1W Super Cobra helicopter crashed during combat near Ali Aziziyal, Iraq.  Capt. Ford was assigned to Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 267, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing.

Cpl. Matthew C. Henderson age 25 of  Lincoln, Nebraska died May 26, 2004 due to hostile action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.  Cpl. Henderson was assigned to 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force.

Army Spc. Darren Howe, age 21, Beatrice, Nov. 3, 2005.

1st Lt. Edward D. Iwan age 28 of  Albion, Nebraska was killed November 12, 2004 when a rocket-propelled grenade struck his Bradley Fighting Vehicle in Falluja, Iraq.  1st Lt. Iwan was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division.

Lance Cpl. Shane E. Kielion age 23 of La Vista, Nebraska died November 15, 2004 as result of enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.  Lance Cpl. Kielion was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force.

Army Staff Sgt. Shane M. Koele, age 25, Wayne, March 16, 2005.

Petty Officer 3rd Class Eric L. Knott age 21 of Grand Island, Nebraska died September 4, 2004 of shrapnel wounds received when the area he was working in was hit by hostile fire.  Petty Officer 3rd Class Knott was assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 4.

Army Sgt. Ken Locker Jr., age 28, of Burwell, April 23, 2007.

Army Sgt. Randy J. Matheny, age 20, McCook, Feb. 4, 2007.

Petty Officer 3rd Class David J. Moreno age 26 of Gering, Nebraska died July 17, 2003 from a non-hostile gunshot wound in Hamishiyah, Iraq.  He was assigned to Naval Medical Center San Diego, 4th Marine Division Detachment.  Petty Officer Moreno was interred with military honors at West Lawn Cemetery.

Spc. Dennis B. Morgan age 22 of  Valentine, Nebraska was killed April 17, 2004 when his armored personnel carrier hit an improvised explosive device in Iskandariyah, Iraq.  Spc Morgan was assigned to 153rd Engineer Battalion, South Dakota Army National Guard.

Sgt. Cory R. Mracek age 26 of Hay Springs, Nebraska was killed on January 27, 2004 inn an improvised explosive device attack near Iskandariyah, Iraq.  Sgt. Mracek was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 319th Field Artillery Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division Artillery.  Sgt. Mracek was laid to rest at Gordon City Cemetery, with full military services provided by the 3rd Battalion 319 Airborne Field Artillery Regiment.

Sgt. Nicholas S. Nolte age 25 of Falls City, Nebraska died November 24, 2004, at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, of injuries due to enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq, on November 9, 2004.  Sgt. Nolte was assigned to 2nd Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, II Marine Expeditionary Force.

Staff Sgt. Brett J. Petriken age 30 of Omaha, Nebraska was killed May 26, 2003 when the Humvee he was traveling in was struck by a heavy equipment transporter that crossed the median in Samawa, Iraq.  Staff Sgt. Petriken was assigned to 501st Military Police Company.

Marine Lance Cpl. Michael D. Scholl, age 21, Lincoln, Nov. 14, 2006.

Pvt. Benjamin J. Slaven, age 22, Plymouth, June 9, 2006.

Staff Sgt. Christopher W. Swisher age 26 of Lincoln, Nebraska was killed October 9, 2003 when his unit was ambushed while on patrol in the Sadr City section of Baghdad, Iraq.  Staff Sgt. Swisher was assigned to 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment.

Sgt. 1st Class Linda Ann Tarango- Griess age 33 of  Sutton, Nebraska was killed July 11, 2004 when an improvised explosive device detonated near her convoy vehicle in Samarra, Iraq.  Sgt. 1st Class Tarango-Griess was assigned to 267th Ordnance Company, Nebraska Army National Guard

Army Sgt. 1st Class Terry Wallace, age 33, Bellevue, June 27, 2006.

Spc. James R. Wolf age 21 of Scottsbluff, Nebraska was killed November 6, 2003 when an improvised explosive device was detonated near his convoy in Mosul, Iraq.  He was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 52nd Engineer Combat Battalion.  Spc. Wolf was laid to rest at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Scottsbluff with full military and Knights of Columbus honors.
