     J. REID GREEN (Republican), thirtieth district. Born at DeWitt, Nebraska, January 8, 1881. Attended public schools of DeWitt, Red Oak (Iowa) high school, and graduated from the law school of the University of Nebraska in 1907. Married and has two children. Practicing attorney in Lincoln. Is a staunch Republican and has held many committee offices. Belongs to the gone of the American Revolution and Modern Woodmen. Address: Lincoln.

     J. E. HARRIS (Republican), fifty-ninth district. Born in Carroll county, Arkansas, 1860. Married Rachel Harmon, 1882; nine children. Married the second time to, Antonia Glatter in 1916; one child. Has lived fit Nebraska since 1893. Is a farmer and buyer of stock. Served on the county board. Belongs to the Modern Woodmen.      CHARLES A. HEDGES (Republican), sixty-fifth district. Born in Fairfield county, Ohio, 1850. Ancestors came from England and Holland. Married Emma R. Smith in 1876. They have eight children. Has lived in Nebraska thirty-six years. His occupations include farming and banking. Served on the county board of Richardson county for six years. Is now president of the Farmers and Merchants Bank of Indianola. Address: Indianola.

     HOOVER, Mc. (Republican), first district. Born in Somerset county, Pennsylvania, 1862. American ancestry. Came to Nebraska in 1879. Married Kathrin Nedrow in 1884. Five children. Has always been a farmer. Member of the Odd Fellows and the Modern Woodmen. Address: Salem.

     M. A. HOSTETLER (Republican), fifty-ninth district. Born at Broadhead, Wisconsin, 1857. German ancestry. Came to Kearney county, Nebraska, 1877; to Shelton. Buffalo county, 1879, and has been in the mercantile business there ever since. Married Ella M. Doggett in 1880. Member of the Presbyterian church, member city council twelve years, member of Ancient order of United Workmen and Modern Brotherhood of America. Was the first president of Nebraska state commercial club association, first president of state federation of Nebraska retailers, and has been treasurer of that organiztaion (sic) and of their mutual insurance association for twelve years. Member of the state legislature since 1913. Has always been a booster for his home community and Nebraska. Address: Shelton.

     JEREMIAH HOWARD (Democrat), tenth district. Representative in 1909, 1915, 1917, and 1919. Member constitutional convention, 1919-1920. Born in Ireland over six decades ago. Came to Nebraska in 1887. Mr. Howard has always been active in labor circles. Was chairman of the house standing committee on labor in the sessions of 1909, 1915, and 1917. Belongs to the Federa-

     GEORGE A. HUNT (Democrat), thirty-fifth district. Representative in 1917 and 1919. Born in Coshocton county, Ohio, in 1846. Died July 6, 1910. Married Mary Bickle in 1868; nine children. Married the second time to Mrs. Mary Sampson in 1907. Came to Nebraska in 1862, where he engaged in business as a merchant. Was wounded by Indiana at Oak Grove, Nuckolls county, in 1862. Was a farmer the last years of his life. Wall county commissioner of Saline county for nine years. Was a Mason and a Modern Woodman.

     FLORIAN JACOBS (Republican), fifty-eighth district. Born in Hamilton county, Indiana, in 1869. Ancestors were American and Swedish. Came to Nebraska in 1874, where he engaged in the business of farming. Married Betty M. Taylor in 1899. Belongs to the Ancient Order of United Workmen, Masons, Royal Arch Masons, A. S. R.      JOHN E. JACOBSON (Democrat), sixty-seventh district. Representative in 1917. Native Nebraskan, bum at Lexington in 1884. Ancestors wen Irish and Danish. Attended the public, schools at Lexington. Married Annett H. Mullett in 1909, and they have three children. Is a farmer and grain merchant. Member Methodist church, the Odd Fellows, and Masons.      ANDREW J. JENISON (Republican), forty-second district. Born In Winneshiek county, Iowa, in 1862, of American parents. In 1885 be married Katie LeFever, who died in 1894. Married Erma Johns in 1900. Settled in Clay county to 1887. Graduated from the regular medical department of the State University of Iowa in 1895. Member Masons and Mode. Woodman.      CHARLES T. JENKINS (Republican), sixty-ninth district. Born in Coles county, Illinois, in 1861. Came to Nebraska in 1874 and lived on a farm in Lancaster county. Worked his way through the university and the Lincoln business College. Later studied law and admitted to the bar in 1887. Had to give up his practice on account of his health in 1898 and has been farming and raising stock since that time. Address: Haigler.

     JOHN HARRY JOHNSON (Republican), sixty-third district. Born on a farm in Indiana in 1875, but came to Nebraska when only three years old. Lived on a farm, attended the country schools and went to farming for himself as soon as able. Member constitutional convention, 1919-1920. Married in 1901 and has eleven children living. Address: Holdrege.

     OSCAR F. JOHNSON (Republican), twelfth district. Born on a farm in Boone county, Illinois, in 1877. Parents came from Sweden. Came to Nebraska 1. 1879. Attended the public schools and the Lincoln business college. For three years did contracting in Lincoln, but the remainder of his life has been spent farming. Was a member of the township board for ten years, on the school board for four years. Is a director of the Oakland State Bank. Belongs to the Masons and Woodmen of the World. Address: Oakland.

     DAVID P. KENAGY (Republican), thirty-sixth district. Born in Logan county, Ohio, in 1847. Ancestors came from Switzerland. Married Catherine Kinsinger in 1873. They have six children. Came to Nebraska in 1889. Was formerly a merchant but is now farming. Affiliated with the Methodist church. Belongs to the Masonic Lodge, the Odd Fellows and the Modem Woodmen. Address: Milford.

     .I. W. LAMPERT (Republican), twenty-ninth district. Representative in 1917. Was born in Buffalo, New York, but came to Nebraska in 1883. Always a farmer. Ties been president, vice-president and superintendent of the Saunders county agricultural association. Belongs to the Farmers Union. Is a member of the Presbyterian church. Address: Wahoo.

     HOWARD W. LANG (Democrat), fifty-seventh district. Born in Harrison county, Indiana, in 1954, of American parents. Came to Nebraska when twenty years old and has been farming here ever since. Served three terms as county supervisor. Address: Litchfield.

     JOHN LARSEN (Republican), tenth district. Representative in 1915. Born in Denmark in 1879. Came to Nebraska in 1887. Attended the Nebraska business college in 1892-3. Married Julia Mortensen in 1904. Four children. Investigator state department of labor. Contractor and builder. Was a member of the city council of South Omaha for one term. Belongs to the Lutheran church, Odd Fellows, Modern Brotherhood and Mystic Workers. Address: Omaha.

     LAURITS LAURITSEN (Republican), twenty-first district. A native of Denmark but came to America and has farmed in Nebraska for over twenty-five years. Married and the father of six children. Member Danish Brotherhood, Odd Fellows and Farmers Union of Nebraska (county president). Address: West Point.

     NELS A. LUNDGREN (Republican), tenth district. Representative in 1915 and 1919. Born in Sweden in 1857. Graduate of the military school of the Royal Vendee Artillery, 1880. Attended evening high school in New York City in 1889-90. Came to Nebraska in 1883. Served in Spanish-American war. Married and had two children. Son killed in the World war. Sells life and fire insurance. Formerly deputy sheriff of Douglas county. Belongs to the Lutheran church. Member of Odd Fellows and Vikings. Address: Omaha.

     CHARLES M. McGRATH (Republican), seventieth district. Born at Derinda Centre, Illinois, 1863, of Scotch-Irish ancestry. Attended college at Fulton and at Dixon, Illinois. Came to Nebraska in 1884 and took a homestead in Custer county. Married Ida De La Vergne in 1889. Always a farmer and ranchman. Address: Wauneta.

     HENRY C. McKEE (Republican), sixth district. Born at Palmyra, Nebraska, in 1870. Ancestors came fro. Scotland. Attended the public schools at Palmyra. Married and has six children. Farmed all his life. Belongs to the Presbyterian church. Member Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star and Modem Woodmen. Address: Palmyra.

     HARRY JAMES McLAUGHLIN (Republican), forty-eighth district. Born at Red Bluff, California, in 1865. Attended the public schools at Jacksonville, Illinois, and also the college located there. Married and has four children. Is a former and stock raiser. Came to Nebraska in 1887. Member Congregational church. Address: Doniphan.

     JOHN McLELLAN (Republican), forty-eighth district. Born in Scotland in 1864. Came to America in 1869 with parents, who settled in Illinois. Attended the public schools in Illinois and was a student for one year at Robaugh brothers college. Married Belle Jhunkle in 1893. They have four children. Was formerly a general merchant; now a lumber dealer. Is a Presbyterian. Belongs to the Masonic Lodge, United Workmen and Odd Fellows. Address: Grand Island.

     DONALD McLEOD (Republican), twenty-seventh district. Born at Prince Edward Island, Canada, 1854. Ancestors came from Scotland. Received his education in the public schools. Came to Nebraska in 1879. Widower, father of seven children, three living, one son died of wounds at Chauteau-Thierry.

     GEORGE W. MAURER (Republican), thirty-first district. Born at Cedar county, Iowa. Ancestors Holland Dutch. Attended Cornell college, Mt. Vernon, Iowa, and Iowa state university. Married Priscilla Lamly, 1874; one child. Married second time, Laura R. Porter, 1884, six children. Moved to Nebraska in 1884. Has been on the board of supervisors and county treasurer. Is a commercial traveler and retails farm machinery. Is a Mason and an Eagle. Address: Beatrice.

     GRANT S. MEARS (Republican), twentieth district. Representative in 1915, 1917 and 1919. Born on a farm near Grinnell, Iowa, October 2, 1865. Came to Nebraska in 1879. Attended the public schools. At present engaged in the real estate business. Was formerly a contractor and builder. Has also been a farmer. Mr. Mears was sheriff of Wayne county for ten years. Belongs to the Masons, Odd Fellows and Modern Woodmen of America. Address: Wayne.

     EDWARD J. MIILLE (Republican), twenty-third district. Born in Dixon county, Nebraska, 1883. Ancestors came from Germany. Attended Wayne normal in 1902 and 1903. Has been a banker for the past eight years. Belongs to the Methodist church and the Masonic Lodge. Address: Loretto.

     ALBERT H. MILLER (Republican), eleventh district. Representative in 1917 and 1919. Born on a farm in Washington county, Nebraska. in 1880. Attended country school. Worked in a printing shop and finally worked his way through Lincoln academy and the University of Nebraska, graduating in 1909. Entered the forest service as a forest guard and resigned after four and one-half years, during which time he was promoted to deputy forest supervisor. Has been farming since 1912. Belongs to the Masons and the Royal Arch Masons. Address: Kennard.

     JAMES V. MORRISON (Republican), ninth district. Born in Gretna, Nebraska, in 1892. Irish-American ancestry. Is a graduate of the Gretna high school and the University of Nebraska. Engaged in farming since leaving college. Member Presbyterian church, Masonic Lodge and Delta Tau Delta (college fraternity). Address: Gretna.

     N. M. NELSON (Republican), nineteenth district. Representative in 1903. Born in Denmark in 1855. Came to Nebraska with parents with a colony of Mormons. Parents became dissatisfied and left the colony, settling at Florence. Attended private and public schools of Omaha. Taught school to Stanton county, Nebraska, for six years. Went into hardware and implement business and continued for twenty years. Married and the father of six children. Was county treasurer of Pierce county for four years. County commissioner for one term. Eight years as justice of the peace to Plainview. Has also served as village trustee and as a member of the school board. At present is a foreman of bridge construction. Belongs to the Masonic Lodge and the Odd Fellows. Address: Pierce.

     CHARLES JOHN NOREEN (Republican), twenty-fifth district. Born in Sweden in 1868 and came to America with parents the same year. Came to Nebraska in 1870 and has been farming hen ever since.      THEODORE MARCUS OSTERMAN (Democrat), forty-ninth district. Born at Fremont, Nebraska, in 1879. Ancestors came from Germany. Attended Fremost high school. Married Dot Maud Hartley (now deceased); one child. Mr. Osterman is now a Progressive farmer in Merrick County. Member Methodist church and Masons. Address: Central City.

     C. M. PARKER (Republican), thirtieth district. Born in New York state in 1840. When four years old moved to Indiana where he grew up on a farm. Enlisted in the Union Amy in 1861 and served two years. Was wounded in the head and arm, causing the loss of his left arm. After he was demobilized he taught school and went to school, graduating from the University of Michigan law school in 1870. He came to Lincoln the same year and practiced law there for forty-eight years. Served three terms as county judge of Lancaster county, he was serving his first term in the legislature when he died, March 11, 1919.

     GEORGE CLARK PORTER (Republican), tenth district. Born at Warren county, Illinois, 1874. Scotch-Irish ancestry. Attended Lincoln normal, Hastings college and Fremont normal where he graduated in 1900. Also graduated from McCormick Seminary in Chicago, and received the degree of Bachelor of Law from the University of Omaha. Was formerly a school teacher and minister. Married and has one child. Belongs to the Presbyterian Church and the Odd Fellows. Was Socialist candidate for governor of Nebraska in 1914. At the time the legislature met, Mr. Porter was a lawyer in Omaha but has since moved to Merrill, Nebraska, where he is continuing in the practice. Address: Morrill.

     EMERSON R. PURCELL (Democrat), fifty-eighth district. Born at Spring. field, Illinois, 1866. Irish and English ancestry. Educated in the public schools at Crete, Nebraska, and also attended Doane College. Married and has five children. Has been editor of the Custer County Chief at Broken Bow for twenty-seven years. Was mayor for two terms; member board of education, and member board of managers, state board of agriculture. Belongs to the Episcopal church, Masons (York and Scottish Rites, Shriner), and Odd Fellows. Address: Broken Bow.

     WATSON L. PURDY (Democrat), twenty-fifth district. Born Washington county, Ohio, 1872. Attended the public schools. Came to Nebraska when fourteen years old. Married Mary F. Bryant, 1894; six children living. Mr. Purdy has always been a farmer. Was commissioner for seven years. Belongs to the Modern Woodmen. Address: Madison.

     VICTOR D. REYNOLDS (Republican), tenth district. Born at Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, 1865. Ancestors came to this country in the seventeenth century. Has lived in Nebraska for thirty-four years. Graduated from Chicago university in 1886. Has been a purchasing agent, in the printing and lithographing business and is now sales manager for the Dalton Adding Machine Company. Is a member of the Baptist church. Belongs to the Omaha Rotary Club, Athletic club and several country clubs. Address: Omaha.

     M. F. RICKARD (Republican), forty-sixth district. Representative in 1917 and 1919. Born at DeWitt, Nebraska, 1881. Attended Guide Rock high school, Franklin academy and the University of Nebraska. Has been a teacher and a farmer. Belongs to the Methodist church and the Modern Woodmen. Address: Guide Rock.

     JAMES ALBERT RODMAN (Republican), seventy-sixth district. Born at Salem, Indiana, in 1887, of American parents. Came to Nebraska when one year old. Graduated from the Law School of the University of Nebraska and admitted to the bar in 1913. Member constitutional convention, 1919-1920. Married Helen 1. Lawrence in 1914. Three sons. Was postmaster at Axtell for one term but has been farming ever since. Belongs to the Presbyterian church, Modern Woodmen, Knights of Pythias and Royal Neighbors of America. Address: Axtell.

     WALTER SANDQUIST (Republican), thirteenth district. Born in Sweden in 1870. Came to Nebraska in 1908. Is a widower and has three children. Is a merchant and farmer, and has been postmaster for eleven years. Is a Member of the Lutheran church ad the Odd Fellows. Address: Walthill.

     JOHN O. SCHMIDT (Democrat), twenty-ninth district. Born in Saunders county, Nebraska, in 1881. Parents came from Sweden and Denmark. Attended the country school near his present home.      ADON O. SMITH (Democrat), fifty-fifth district. Born in Branch county, Michigan, 1862, of American parents. Graduated from business college at Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 1884. Came to Nebraska three years later. Has been a teacher, carpenter, hardware merchant, banker and real estate dealer. County treasurer of Rock county for four years. Belongs to the Odd Fellows, Royal Highlanders, Masons (Knight Templar, Shriner). Eastern Star and Royal Arch Masons. Address: Bassett.

     GEORGE C. SNOW (Republican), seventy-fourth district. Born on a farm in Illinois. Come to Nebraska in 1891. Graduated from Franklin academy and from Doane college.      GEORGE, M. STEELE (Republican), seventy-first district. Born Edgar county, Illinois, 1857.* Came to Nebraska in 1888. Married Louisa Graham in 1907, they have five children. Was a farmer and rancher. Served as justice of the peace for years in Thomas county. Was a member of the United Brethren church and a thirty-second degree Mason.

     RICHARD FORBES STOUT (Republican), thirtieth district. Born at Lincoln, Nebraska, 1892. Attended Lincoln high school and graduated from the law school of the state university in 1914. Married Ethel Cornell in 1915. Affiliated with the Congregational church. Is a member of Phi Gamma Delta (college fraternity). Address: Lincoln.

     DAVID E. STRONG (Republican), fifty-sixth district. Born at Rockford, Illinois, 1858, of American parentage. Attended the public schools of Rockford. Came to Nebraska in 1878 and in 1879 settled on a farm in Valley county, whom he has since been farming. Member constitutional convention, 1919-1920. Married Florence D.      LLOYD O. TAYLOR (Republican), sixty-sixth district. Born at Red Oak, Iowa, in 1882. Attended the public schools at Eustis, Nebraska, and Grand Junction, Colorado. Married Nellie V. Ward. Has been a resident of Nebraska for thirty years. At present he is county treasurer, but has taught school and been an abstracter. Belongs to the Congregational church, Odd Fellows, and modern Woodmen. Address; Stockville.

     JAMES FRANKLIN THOMPSON (Republican), thirtieth district. Born at Bulls Gap, Tennessee, in 1875. His ancestors were among the early settlers of Virginia. Came to Nebraska in 1896 where he farmed and taught country school for four years. Moved to Pawnee City and attended the academy there. Taught school two years, and then taught school and attended the University of Nebraska alternately for eight years, graduating in 1913. Has been a teacher, insurance agent and farmer. Is a member of the Methodist church and Masonic lodge. Address: Lincoln.

     GEORGE E. TRACEWELL (Republican), seventy-second district. Representative in 1917 and 1919. Born in Cedar county, Iowa, in 1959, of American parents. Attended the public schools of Iowa. Married and has seven children. Came to Nebraska in 1885. Was formerly a farmer, but now a. auctioneer. Was mayor of Valentine for two terms. Mr. Tracewell's efforts during the 1919 session of the legislature were chiefly directed to the passage of House Roll No. 2, providing for the new capital building. Member of the Presbyterian church and Fraternal Aid Union of America. Address: Valentine.

     R. R. VANCE (Republican), forty-seventh district. Born at Ripley, Ohio, 1869. Resident of Nebraska for thirty-six years. Was a farmer until about three years ago. Has been township treasurer, director of the Hastings Mutual Fire Insurance Company, secretary of the Farmers Grain and Supply Company, vice-president of the Hastings Milling Company, and vice-president of the State Bank of Hastings. married and came to Nebraska in 1888. Has spent about half of his life as a farmer and the other half in the city, as a merchant. Has also been manager of several sanitariums conducted by the Seventh Day Adventists. of which organization he is a member. Address: Fairmont.

     ROBERT BAXTER WINDHAM (Republican), eighth district. Representative in 1879, 1881, 1882, 1903 (elected to fill vacancy), 1905, and 1919. McKinley and Roosevelt presidential elector in 1900. Born at St. Joseph, Missouri, 1846. Attended high school at Glenwood, Iowa, and graduated from the law department of the University of Michigan in 1873. Married and has seven children. Has lived in Nebraska for fifty-three years. Served in the Civil war in the forty-sixth Iowa eighteenth army corps. Is a prominent member of the Cass county bar association. Address: Plattsmouth.
