     W. B. BANNING (Democrat). Second district. Member of senate in 1909, 1911 and 1923. Born at Wyoming, Nebraska in September, 1869. Ancestry English..      HENRY BEHRENS (Republican). Twelfth district. Representative in 1917, 1919, 1921 and senator in 1923. Born on a farm in Benton county, Missouri, in 1864, of German parents. Educated in the public schools of Missouri. Came to Nebraska in 1886. Married Elizabeth Sila, and they have two children. Has been a farmer and vice-president of the First national bank of Beemer.      CLARENCE GEORGE BLISS (Republican). Twenty-fifth district. Senator in 1921 and 1923. Born at Shelton, Nebraska, May 10, 1883. Ancestry English and Pennsylvania German. Mother came from England in 1870. Married Jessie Stebbins, January 6, 1912; three children. Public and high school education. Is president of City bank of Elm Creek; also interested in farming and stockraising. County federal food administrator during the World war. Member of Methodist church, Elks, and Kearney Country Club. Address: Elm Creek.

     WILLIAM NEWTON CHAMBERS (Republican). Fourth district. Representative in 1915 and senator in 1923. Born at Omaha, Nebraska, July 21, 1879. Ancestry English-Scotch. Educated in Omaha public schools, high school, Smith's academy, St. Louis; graduated from the University of Michigan law school, 1902. Married Ruth Byrne; one daughter. Is a lawyer.      JOHN WILLIAM COOPER (Republican). Seventh district. Was born in Indiana in 1867. Graduated from the Rising Sun, Indiana, high school. Lived in Nebraska since 1892. Is a practicing attorney.      FRANK DOLEZAL (Democrat). Thirteenth district. Was born March 2, 1867, at Sokoli, Bohemia. His parents came to America in 1877, settling in Nebraska. Was educated in the public schools. Married Katherine Zimola April 8, 1891. Has five children. Has. been a member of the school board and a precinct assessor. Served in the house of representatives in 1909 and 1911. Is a farmer.      THOMAS B. DYSART (Republican). Fifth district. Born in Monroe county, Ohio, in 1872, of Scotch and Irish ancestry. Came to Nebraska in 1879. Attended the law school of the University of Michigan. Is an attorney. He is unmarried. Is a Presbyterian, a member of the Omaha Athletic Club, Omaha Chamber of Commerce, Elks, Knights of Pythias, and Royal Arcanum. Was a member of the house of representatives in 1921 and 1923.      DWIGHT PALMER GRISWOLD (Republican). Thirty-second district. Was born at Harrison, Nebraska, November 27, 1893. His ancestors came to America from England before the Revolutionary war. Educated in Gordon high school, Kearney military academy, Nebraska Wesleyan university, and the University of Nebraska, being graduated there in 1914. Served two years in the army, and received his discharge as a captain in the field artillery. Was married Sept. 25, 1919 to Erma Elliott. They have one daughter. Was formerly a bank cashier. Is now editor of the Gordon Journal. He was a member of the house of representatives in 1921.      CORNELIUS T. HECHT (Republican and Progressive). Tenth district. Was born at St. Helena, Nebraska, Dec. 13, 1884, of Danish and German parents, who came to America from Schleswig-Holstein in 1870. Was educated in the St. Helena schools. Married Christina Hovland August 20, 1907. They have two children Was formerly in the lumber business. Has been a banker since 1006. Has been city treasurer and president of the board of education.      WILLIAM D. HOLBROOK (Republican). Eighth district, Representative in 1897 and senator in 1895, 1899 and 1907. Member of constitutional convention, 1919-1920. Born at Scottsville, Missouri, April 17, 1850. Parents American; ancestors Scotch and German. Attended rural school in Missouri, and later attended night school. Married Addie R. Mahan in 1875; five children. Came to Nebraska in 1878. Has always been a farmer. Was justice of the peace for thirty-two years. Secretary and manager of the Farmers' mutual insurance association for twenty-two years. Affiliates with a Protestant church. Belongs to many farm organizations and social societies. Address: Ames.

     CHARLES WILLIAM HOYE (Republican). Third district. Was born at Omaha, Nebraska, August 27, 1891. His ancestors came to this country from England in 1869. Attended the public schools. Was married June 18, 1913, to Mae Fagarty. Has two children. He is a salesman. Has been deputy sheriff of Douglas county. Affiliates with the Episcopalian church. Is a member of the Elks.      GEORGE CURRIER HUMPHREY (Republican). Twenty-fourth district. Born in Athens county, Ohio, January 28, 1846. Came to Nebraska in 1874. English ancestors came to Massachusetts in 1643. Widower; seven children. Common school education. A carpenter and farmer. Member board of supervisors, Hall county, 1894-1895; Nebraska house of representatives, 1901; senator in 1921; deputy collector internal revenue, Fifth and Seventh divisions, Nebraska, 1902-1915.      WILLIAM HENRY ILLIAN (Republican). Twenty-first district. Senator in 1921 and 1923. Born in Scott county, Iowa, June 30, 1858. Came to Nebraska, January 3, 1890. Married Adda Fox, October 6, 1897, who died January 23, 1898. Married Mrs. Elizabeth Geedom, September 26, 1916.      CLARK JEARY (Republican). Fourteenth district. Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, April 25, 1892. His father was born in England; his mother in America. Educated in the Lincoln public schools, the University of Nebraska and the University of Michigan. Married in July, 1914 to Marie Minor; has one daughter. He is a lawyer.      CHARLES WILLIAM JOHNSON (Republican). Thirty-first district. Born in Sweden, February 21, 1864. Came to America with his parents in 1868. Settled in Nebraska in 1886. Attended Swedish school and public and high schools. Was married April 21, 1885 to Ellen C. Nelson. Has nine children. Is a farmer, rancher, merchant and banker. Has served on the school board for thirty years and on the town board for ten years. Has been county assessor. He affiliates with the Methodist church. Is a member of the Masons, W. 0. W., A. 0. U.      LOUIS HERMAN KERR (Democrat and Progressive). Thirtieth district. Was born in Laddonia, Mo., coming to Nebraska in 1886. His paternal grandfather was Scotch; his other ancestors native born. Educated in the North Platte high school. Was married in 1922. He is a stock raiser and farmer. President of the county Farmers' union organization and secretary -treasurer of the Lincoln county taxpayers' league. He is a Methodist.      LOREN H. LAUGHLIN (Republican). Sixteenth district. Was born at Mount Ayr, Iowa, in 1896. His paternal ancestors, English and Scotch Irish, came to America in the seventeenth century. His maternal ancestors came from Germany in the nineteenth century. Was educated in the Mount Ayr and Des Moines, Iowa, public schools and in Drake university. Was married in 1918 to Marie Chance; has two children. Came to Nebraska in 1919. Was formerly assistant counsel to the Iowa railroad commission and to the Iowa code revision commission.      EMERSON R. PURCELL (Democrat). Twenty-third district. Representative in 1919 and senator in 1923. Born at Springfield, Illinois, 1866. Irish and English, ancestry. Educated in, public schools at Crete, Nebraska, and also attended Doane college. Married and has five children. Has been editor of the Custer County Chief at Broken Bow for twenty-seven years. Wag mayor for two terms; member of board of education and a member of board of managers State board of agriculture.      PERRY A. C. REED (Republican). Nineteenth district. Representative in 1917 and senator in 1919, 1921 and 1928. Born on a farm near Monroe, Wisconsin, January 22, 1871. His Paternal grandfather was a soldier in the Revolutionary war. Came to Nebraska in 1876. Received his education in the country schools of Nebraska. Married Abbie L. Westcott in 1896.      JOHN W. ROBBINS (Republican). Sixth district. Was born in Kent, Indiana. Is of English ancestry. Has lived in Omaha, Nebraska, since coming there in 1885, after graduating from Hanover college, Hanover, Indiana, in 1884. Married Isabel Wyman in 1894 and they are the parents of four children, a son and three daughters. Is a realtor and bus a general insurance agency. Was a member of the state senate in 1919, 1921, 1923 and 1925 sessions. During the 1925 session he was president pro tempore of the senate.       PERLEE W. SCOTT (Republican). Twenty-ninth district. Was born in Kirksville, Iowa, July 24, 1860. His ancestors migrated from Ireland to America in 1800.      CHARLES JOSEPH WARNER (Republican). Fifteenth district. Representative in 1901, 1903, 1906 and state senator In 1919, 1921 and 1923. Born in Lancaster county, Nebraska, 1875, of Swedish ancestry. Attended Lutheran academy in 1891-1892, Lincoln normal university, 1994, and graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1899, and from the Columbian law school, Washington, D. C.. 1902. Has been deputy county treasurer, clerk of the district court and county clerk of Dakota county, member of local draft board for Dakota county, deputy collector of internal revenue and senator in 1923.      JOHN WILTSE (Republican). First district. Born January 2, 1876, near Falls City, Nebraska. Ancestors from Holland and Germany. Attended the country school and the high school at Falls City, and taught in the public schools of Richardson county for ten years. Was admitted to the practice of law in June, 1904, and has practiced continuously since. Was twice elected city clerk and twice mayor, also twice county judge. Member of constitutional convention, 1919-20, and of the state senate 1921 and 1923. Belongs to the Methodist Episcopal church. Has membership in the Odd Fellows. Has large agricultural interests and devotes some time to their supervision. Address: Falls City.

     ASA B. WOOD (Republican). Thirty-third distrct (sic). Was born in Wapello county, Iowa, August 26, 1865. Is of Scotch and English ancestry. Has a high school education. Came to Nebraska in 1886. Married to Maggie Claypool, October 11, 1888. Has four children. Has been a publisher and editor all his life. He has farming and stock raising interests and has been postmaster at Gering. is interested in irrigation and was President of the Nebraska irrigation society in 1924.      EMIL ANDERSON (Democrat). Seventy-third district. Was born September 14, 1868, in Sweden. Came to America in May of 1869 with his parents. Settled in Nebraska in June of 1877. Educated in the public schools. Was married to Selma Anderson April 19, 1913. He is a farmer. Has served as county supervisor and is a member of the school board. Is a director of the First national bank at Minden. Is a member of the Lutheran church and the Modern Woodmen. Address: Minden.

     LORA H. AURAND (Republican). Seventy-fourth district. Born at Chapman, Nebraska, October 14, 1877. Married January 14, 1909, to Nellie E. Adair of Waynesville, Illinois. Five children--two pairs of twins. Educated in Chapman public schools, Grand Island college, and Peru state teachers' college. Parents located at Chapman on April 2, 1871, and are now living on the same homestead which they settled originally. His mother taught the first school in Merrick county. Mr. Aurand was deputy county treasurer for four years, justice of the peace for ten years, and president of the school board for nine years. Is president of Merrick county fair association, and president of Parent-teachers association of Chapman. Farmer and live stock breeder; has been school teacher and accountant.      JAMES AUTEN (Democrat). Sixty-first district. Member of Nebraska legislature in 1917 and 1923. Born at Valparaiso, Indiana, April 24, 1861, and came to Nebraska in 1879.      EDWARD EVERETTE AUXIER (Democrat). First district. Born in Paintsville, Kentucky, in 1864. His paternal ancestors were French; his maternal ancestors Dutch. They came to America in 1755. Educated in the common, private and subscription schools. Came to Nebraska in 1885. Was married to Lucy Prichard in 1887. Has four children living. Has been a road overseer and county commissioner.      THOMAS AXTELL (Progressive). Eighty-ninth district. Representative in 1923. Born in Jefferson county, Nebraska, April 7, 1876. Welsh and Scotch-Irish ancestry. Educated in public schools. Married Mary Harris, June 21, 19-06; one child. Is locomotive engineer; formerly farmer. Member of Locomotive Engineers, Division No. 88. Address: North Platte.

     E. PRESTON BAILEY (Republican). Fifty-fifth district. Representative in 1923. Born at Carleton, Nebraska, November 11, 1886. American ancestry. Attended school at Independent school, Northwestern business college, University of Nebraska, American school of civil engineers. Married Winifred A. Roberts, July 15, 1919; two children. Is a farmer. Has been farmer and stockman, engineer, merchant, prospector, cowboy and secret service man. Held position of road overseer, assessor, member of council of defense, member of school board, member of election board, member of U. S. Reserves for three years, lieutenant Home Guards.      EDWARD M. BANKS (Republican). One hundredth district. Born in Nova Scotia, October 2, 1860. Came to the United States in 1882. Became a citizen in 1889. Came to Nebraska in 1911. Has a common school education. He is single. Is a ranchman. Has served as treasurer of school boards both in Wyoming and Nebraska. Affiliates with the Baptist church.      W. M. BARBOUR (Republican). Ninety-seventh district. Born in Fulton county, Illinois, in 1860. Came to Nebraska in 1865, lived in Nebraska City and Lincoln until 1870, and then on a farm in Cass county until 1887. Took a homestead in Scotts Bluff county and still resides there.      CARL H. BECKER (Republican). Thirty-first district. Born at Emerald, Nebraska, April 14, 1879. Attended the public schools. Was married January 81, 1901, to Mary Nobbmann. Has three children. Is engaged in the grain elevator business and dairy farming. Is president of the Lancaster-Seward cow testing association, president of the Lancaster county farm bureau, treasurer Lancaster county farmers' mutual insurance company.      JACOB BENDER (Republican). Fifty-seventh district. Was born at Galoi Karamisch, Russia, August 21, 1854, coming to America with his parents in 1875. Educated in private schools. Married in 1875 to Eugenia Reuss. Has six children. Was a farmer until 1884. Since that time has been in the implement business. Has been town assessor and mayor of Sutton for six terms. Is a member of the Presbyterian church, Masons (Shriners and Scottish Rites), Odd Fellows and Workmen. Address: Sutton.

     HENRY BOCK (Democrat). Forty-second district. Born in Pike county, Ohio, March 6, 1866. Ancestors were German. Came to Nebraska from Logan county, Illinois, in 1890. Was married to Lydia E. Hilke in 1895; four children. Has been township treasurer, president of Farmers co-operative grain company, treasurer of Butler county farm bureau. Member of Christian church. Is a farmer and stock breeder. Representative in 1921 and 1928. Address: David City.

     MILTON H. BROWN (Republican). Eighty-first district. Born in Kewanee, Illinois, July 2, 1863. Ancestors came from England before the Revolution, settling in Connecticut. Public school education. Came to Nebraska in 1884. Married to Mary A. Dennison, June 22, 1887; has two daughters. Is now retired; was in the mercantile business for twenty-eight years and banking for eleven years. Has been on the school board and city council. Attends the Methodist Episcopal church. Is a member of the Masons and Kiwanis. Address: Gothenburg.

     ALLEN G. BURKE (Republican). Twenty-sixth district. Was born in Cuming county, Nebraska, in 1877. Ancestors came from Canada in 1863. Educated in the Bancroft high school and the University of Nebraska. Married Emily M. McManus May 8, 1906. Has three children. Is a lawyer, land-owner and banker. Is a member, of the Presbyterian church. Was a state representative in 1923; speaker in 1925; is a thirty-second degree Mason and a Shriner. Address: Bancroft.

     BENJAMIN T. SKEEN (Democrat). Fourth district. Born in Sumner county, Tennessee, September 23, 1851. Ancestors came from Scotland and Ireland in 1760. Came to Nemaha county with his parents in 1855. Attended the public schools. Married in 1873 to Miss Blunt. Has four children. Is a farmer and stockman. Has been a justice of the peace. Member of the school board for twenty-three years. Was a member of the state legislature in 1900 and 1911. Affiliates with the Methodist church. Mr. Skeen came to Nebraska when it was still unsurveyed territory, a sparsely settled, untimbered prairie region. At that time supplies had to be brought to Nemaha county from Rockport, Missouri. He has seen Nebraska develop from that small beginning into a great commonwealth. Address: Auburn.

     BERNARD R. STONE (Democrat). Tenth district. Born at Central City, Nebraska, February 16, 1898. His ancestors came to America from England and Ireland in 1620.
