   GEORGE WILLIAM NORRIS (Republican). Born in Sandusky county, Ohio. July 11, 1861. Attended Baldwin university, Berea, Ohio, and Valparaiso university. Studied law while teaching and afterward finished course in law school. Admitted to the bar in 1885. Removed to Nebraska in 1885. Was three times prosecuting attorney; elected district judge of fourteenth district in 1895 and reelected in 1899; served as representative in fifty-eighth, fifty-ninth, sixtieth, sixty-first and sixty-second congresses; elected to United States senate for the term beginning March 4, 1913, re-elected in 1918 and in 1924.    ROBERT BEECHER HOWELL (Republican). Born at Adrian, Michigan, January 21, 1864. Married Alice Chase Cunningham of Omaha. Attended public schools in Adrian; appointed cadet midshipman, United States naval academy, 1885; course in Detroit school of law, 1893. Located at Omaha in 1888. Served as state engineer of Nebraska. Designated as city engineer of Omaha, 1895. Member of board of visitors to United States naval academy, 1896. Twice county treasurer of Richardson county, 1896-99; mayor of Falls City 1900; state senator, 1910-11; president pro tempore of senate; lieutenant governor, 1910-1911, upon death of Lieutenant governor, M. R. Hopewell; governor from 1913 to 1917; nominee of democratic party for United States senate in 1918. Nominated third time for governor, 1920.    WILLIS G. SEARS (Republican) Second district. Born at Willoughby, Ohio, August 16, 1860. Educated in common schools; attended law school at University of Kansas, 1882-83. Admitted to bar in 1884. County attorney of Burt county, 1895-1901; member of state legislature, 1901-04, and speaker of House of representatives, 1901; served as district judge of fourth judicial district from 1903 to 1925. Elected to Congress in 1922, re-elected in 1924, 1926 and 1928. Married to Bell Hoadley in 1887; five children. Address: Omaha.

   EDGAR HOWARD (Democrat). Third district. Born at Osceola, Iowa, September 16, 1858. Educated in public schools, Western collegiate institute and Iowa college of law. Admitted to bar 1885. Member of Nebraska legislature. 1895; probate judge, Sarpy county, 1896-1900; lieutenant governor, 1917-1919. Elected to Congress, 1922, re-elected in 1924, 1926 and 1928. Married Elizabeth Paisley Burtch in 1884; three children. Reporter and city editor of various papers until 1884; editor Papillion Times, 1884-1900; purchased Columbus Telegram in 1900.    ARTHUR J. WEAVER Governor (Republican). Born at Falls City, Nebraska. November 18, 1873. Married Maude H. Hart, September 2, 1908. They have six children. Is a lawyer and orchardist. Graduated from Wyoming Seminary, Kingston, Pennsylvania, 1892; from University of Nebraska, AB., 1895, and LL.B., 1896. Practiced law at Falls City until 1904; since then engaged in fruit growing, grain and stork raising. Member of Nebraska house of representatives, 1899; city attorney, Falls City, 1899-1901; county attorney, Richardson county, 1901-1903; mayor of Falls City, 1915; president, Nebraska constitutional convention, 1920; chairman Nebraska electoral college, 1920.     GEORGE ARTHUR WILLIAMS, Lieutenant governor (Republican). Born in Lafayette, Illinois, 1864, of English parents. Attended the common schools of Galva, Illinois, and later attended business college at Graysville, Tennessee. Was married and came to Nebraska in 1888. Has been a farmer and merchant.    FRANK MARSH, Secretary of state (Republican). Born at Guide Rock, Nebraska, November 6, 1881. Parents came to Nebraska in 1878.    LUCIAN B. JOHNSON, Auditor of public accounts (Republican). Born at Jamestown, Missouri, November 20, 1864. Came to Nebraska in 1891. Married October 14, 1801, to Mary Olive Reed. Has one daughter. Ancestors came from Scotland and Wales. Was educated in public school and Houper Institute at Clarksburg, Missouri. Was born and reared on a farm; clerk in general merchandise store; and was a commercial printer for twenty-seven years. Member and president of Omaha city council, 1906-1912. Is a Protestant.    WILLIS M. STEBBINS, Treasurer (Republican). Born at Wattsburg, Pennsylvania, January 20, 1863. Came to Nebraska in 1884. Married January 1, 1891 to Avis Wilcox; five children, two deceased. Is a descendant of Rowland Stebbins, who came to Massachusetts from England in 1614. Attended common schools and Sherman, New York, academy. Has been a farmer, teacher and merchant. Was a member of the Nebraska legislature 1911, 1913, 1915 and member of constitutional convention, 1919-1920. Is a Methodist. Member of Masonic orders, Knights Templar, Scottish Rite, and Shriner.

   DANIEL SWANSON, Commissioner of public lands and buildings (Republican). Born in Sweden, May 1, 1857. Came to Nebraska in 1878. Married January 6, 1884 to Matilda C. Streed: three children. Parents emigrated from Sweden in 1878. Attended common schools and colleges. Has been in real estate business. Has held offices in city, county, school district and state. Was state representative from Dodge county 1901, postmaster at Fremont from 1901 to 1912 and commissioner of public lands and buildings since 1919. Is a Lutheran. Address; Lincoln.

   C. A. SORENSEN, Attorney general (Republican). Born at Harrisburg, Nebraska, March 24, 1890. Married Annis Chaikin, July 9, 1921. They have three sons. Parents moved to Nebraska in 1879. Married January 16, 1907 to Carrie Luella Keef. Attended York county schools and graduated from the medical department of Cotner university, 1912. Is a physician and farmer. Has been mayor, county physician and state senator in 1929.    RUDOLPH BRAZDA (Democrat). Twelfth district. Born in Cuming county, Nebraska. April 17, 1874. Parents emigrated from Bohemia in October, 1866 and came directly to Nebraska. Held office of county clerk, secretary of draft board during World War and charter member of community club. State senator in 1929. Is a Catholic. Belongs to Knights of Columbus.    OLIVER G. CLARK (Republican). Twentieth district. Born in Unionville, Missouri. Came to Nebraska in 1911. Married April 26, 1908 to Mabelle S. Sanford; two sons. Graduate of Palmer chiropractic college at Davenport, Iowa. Is a chiropractor. Was president of Platte valley chiropractic association, 1916, chairman of legislative committee of State chiropractic association, 1916-1928.    JOHN WILLIAM COOPER Republican). Seventh district. Was born in Indiana in 1867. Graduated from the Rising Sun, Indiana, high school. Lived in Nebraska since 1892. Is a practicing attorney. Attended high school at Knoxville, Iowa, and Professor McKee's academy. Took courses in bookkeeping and accounting. Was formerly a farmer and shipped live stock,. Is now secretary and manager of Wahoo mutual loan and building association. Was a member of city council for four years, city treasurer three years, county treasurer four years, county assessor four years, chairman of board of equalization four years and state senator in 1927 and 1929.    DWIGHT PALMER GRISWOLD (Republican). Thirty-second district. Was born at Harrison, Nebraska, November 27, 1898. His ancestors came to America from England before the Revolutionary war. Educated in Gordon high school, Kearney military academy, Nebraska Wesleyan university, and the University of Nebraska. being graduated there in 1914. Served two years in the army, and received his discharge as a captain in the field artillery. Was married Sept. 25, 1919 to Erina Elliott; one son and one daughter. Was formerly a bank cashier. Is now editor of the Gordon Journal, He was a member of the house of representatives in 1921 and of the senate in 1925, 1927 and 1929.     CLARK JEARY (Republican). Fourteenth district. Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, April 25, 1892. His father was born in England; his mother in America.    JOHN HARRY JOHNSON (Republican). Twenty-eighth district. Representative in 1919, 1921 and senator in 1929. Born on a farm in Indiana, 1875, but came to Nebraska when only three years old. Lived on a farm, attended country schools and went to farming for himself at an early age. Member of constitutional convention, 1919-1920. Married in 1901; eleven children. Deceased.

   GEORGE C. JUNKIN (Republican). Twenty-eighth district. Born June 9, 1858 in Jefferson county, Iowa. Ancestry Scotch-Irish. Married in 1885 to Emma M. Swinburne; three children. Attended high school at Red Oak, Iowa, 1870-1874. Is a farmer and stockraiser. Was member of house of representatives in 1903 and 1905 and of senate in 1930, secretary of state, 1907 to 1911, member of constitutional convention, 1919-1920, and delegate to Republican national convention, 1924, Address: Smithfield.

   HORACE F. KENNEDY (Republican). Twenty-third district. Born at Brownville, Nebraska, September 2, 1878. Married, December 25, 1900 to Nannie R. Talbot; two children. Attended Brownville school, Custer county country school, Broken Bow schools and Omaha business college. Has been a farmer and proprietor of hotels; is now owner and manager of a theatre.    JAMES A. RODMAN (Republican), Sixth district, Born May 6, 1887 at Salem. Indiana, Ancestors came to America in early eighteenth century from England. Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Came to Nebraska in 1888. Graduated from Blair, Nebraska, high school and the University of Nebraska, Married August 15, 1914 to Helen I. Lawrence of Fremont. Has four sons. Taught school, practiced law, and is at present a life insurance executive. Was county attorney of Kimball county, 1915-1919, and county attorney of Banner county, 1917-1919. Served in House of representatives from Kimball county in 1919 and 1921. Member of constitutional convention in 1920. Representative from the eighth district in 1925 and from the eighteenth district in 1927. First representative to have served the state from three different districts. Speaker of the House of representatives in 1927, the only speaker elected from Omaha since Nebraska has been a state.
