  57. ELIJAH7 SAXTON (Henry K.6 Philander5 Jasper4 James3-2 George1) was born January 7, 1835, and died May 31, 1911. He married at Aurora, Illinois, July 4,1864, Mary A. Griswold, who died February 4, 1929, aged 84 years. They lived at Warren's Corners, Niagara County, New York, where he was a farmer.(b) Children of Elijah7 and Mary A. (Griswold) Saxton:    i.   59. CHARLES EDWIN7 SAXTON (Edwin6 Philander5 Jasper4 James3-2 George1) was born September 6, 1866, at Lockport, New York. About 1890 he removed to Springfield, Ohio, where he died May 31, 1930. He married, June 6, 1895, E. Theresa Webster, who died January 23, 1913.(c)

  60. GEORGE DONALD7 (George6 Horace5 Frederick4 James3 -2 George1) was born August 4, 1829, at Shelburne, Vermont, and when a young man removed to Cleveland, Ohio, where he married Mariah A. Cowan, born April 12, 1831. After living several years at Cleveland he spent a few years in Canada, and in 1868, he located at Wacousta, Clinton County, Michigan, where his wife died in 1895. He died at Watertown Center, Michigan, in September, 1899.(d)

  61. HENRY8 SAXTON (Ebenezer7-6-5 James4-3-2 George1) was born at Merrillville, Indiana, March 20, 1852, and died at Gary, Indiana. He married Bertha Reisig. Henry Saxton was a farmer.(e)

  62. ALVAH8 SAXTON (Ebenezer7-6-5 James4-3-2 George1) was born at Merrillville, Indiana, September 18, 1854, and died there July 31, 1931. He married Jennie Pierce, who was born August 24, 1858, and died March 26, 1926. He was a farmer.(e)

  65. JOHN LAVERN8 SAXTON (Raymond William7 John6 William5 James4-3-2 George1) was born in Otsego County, New York, September 26, 1829, where he died at the home of his father, October 15, 1874. He married Frances Louise Newell, daughter of John and Harriet (Hecox) Newell of Milford, New York. She was born at Laurens, New York, April 26, 1834, and died at Albany, New York, September 8, 1924.(g)

  66. HARVEY EUGENE8 SAXTON (Raymond William7 John6 William5 James4-3-2 George1) was born January 3, 1833, and died at his father's home at Westville, Otsego County, New York, November 25, 1872. He married, first, December, 1854, Elizabeth, daughter of Andrew Bice; secondly, November 22, 1857, Mary Coons, who died in California, December 18, 1918.(g)

WILLIAM RAYMOND8 SAXTON (Raymond William7 John6 William5 James4-3-2 George1) was born at Westville, New York, August 24, 1850, and married, first, December 18, 1877, Frances Nellis, daughter of David and Cornelia (Grassfield) Nellis of Westville, New York. She died December 26, 1879, and he married, secondly, November 25, 1885, Ella Jewell, daughter of Myron and Jeanette (Reed) Jewell, born January 10, 1860. She died June 18, 1924. He died at Oneonta, New York, March 11, 1933.(g)

  68. EDWARD PRATT8 SAXTON (Raymond William7 John6 William5 James4-3-2 George1) was born February 5, 1854, at Galway, New York. He graduated from the Delaware Literary Institute in 1873 and was a teacher most of his life. He married Alida Viola Tipple, daughter of Charles Edward and Polly (Chase) Tipple of Chaseville, New York, born June 28, 1854, a descendant on her father's side from the Dutch families of the Hudson Valley, and on her mother's side from William Chase of Yarmouth, Massachusetts. Edward Pratt Saxton was killed by an automobile, July 5, 1919. His widow and daughter live in Albany, New York. The children were born at Westville, New York.(g)

   Chief Index Clerk in the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets; lives in Albany, N. Y.

  69. JAMES W.8 SAXTON (Simeon Niles7 John6 William5 James4-3-2 George1) was born at Middlefield, New York, August 6, 1835, and died May 9, 1919. He married, October 10, 1858, Josephine Amelia Son, born May 6, 1839, daughter of William and Mary (Bloodgood) Son. She died in August, 1932.(g)

  70. JOHN8 SAXTON (Simeon Niles7 John6 William5 James4-3-2 George1) was born August 28, 1832, and died at Scranton, Pennsylvania. He married September 30, 1853, at Middlefield, New York, Margaret Ann Moak, daughter of Jacob and Amy (Cleveland) Moak. She was born October 10, 1840, at Decatur, New York, and died March 13, 1904, at Cooperstown, New York.(g)

  71. SIMEON NILES8 SAXTON (Simeon Niles7 John6 William5 James4-3-2 George1) was born December 16, 1843. He married, first, March 14, 1874, Maria8 Saxton, daughter of Raymond William7 and Mary Ann (Newton) Saxton, his cousin. She died January 10, 1877, and he married, secondly, April 10, 1879, Harriet Sayre, born June 6, 1851, who is still living. He died in 1918.(g)

Child of Simeon Niles8 and Harriet (Sayre) Saxton:   i. Wilbur Sayre, b. Feb. 14, 1882; a graduate of' the college of engineering,
   Cornell University; married; two children.

  72. FRANCES G.8 SAXTON (Jacob T.7 John6 William5 James4-3-2 George1) was born at Canandaigua, New York, January 9, 1838,

and died at Washington, D. C., July 8, 1896. He married, September 3, 1868, at Lawrenceville, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, Adelia B. Inscho, who was born in Tioga County, Pennsylvania, September 15, 1836, and died at Corning, New York, September 17, 1893. The oldest child was born and died at Lawrenceville, Pennsylvania, the other children were born at Washington, D. C.(h) Children of Frances G.8 and Adelia B. (Inscho) Saxton:    i. Harry I., b.
